  1. I guess you can turn off before the wairau river on day two, and go through taumarina. But rarangi is gonna be a good hike at the end of a big day.
  2. Bring a ground bag down. I'm sure you can find a sharp pile of rocks beside a state highway near a truck exhaust brake area to unroll it on.
  3. The musselfest has rinsed the accomadation closer to renwick.
  4. Myself, @JustHarry and @- i5oogt - are at the Nelson top ten on friday night, and the cherry lea motel in springlands/blenheim on Saturday night.
  5. Resize them? A screenshot is the lazy way to make them smaller so you can upload them.
  6. We just went through a similar thing with the clutches in Dads 904 transmission. Standard the have 4 friction discs. "Performance" upgrade is to use 5. We managed to shoehorn 6 in. But to get that magic clearance number right, the top outermost edge of the top plate (where the snap ring resides) had to have a recess machined into it we think it was an internal hydraulic leak that caused them to slip in the first place. But the maximum number of plates is cheap insurance
  7. Did I sell you a datsun 1200 coupe in Christchurch in the early 2000s? Cos i sold some kid my 1200 back then. And the next time i saw it, it had SLAYER spray painted on the side of it.
  8. Are you looking at buying a 340???? I have a set of forgies for a 340. They're .030 over, which makes them 4.070/too big for anything but a 340. Pretty sure @johnny.race has (or had) a 340 block.
  9. @yetchh Of your impressive fleet of old school whips, this is still my absolute favourite. I long for the day we see an update on it......
  10. Despite being illegal because cyclists cant see them, you absolutely MUST fit camo door cards. I know they're awful, but would it still be a rotor if it didnt?
  11. Bloody good work there chap! That intake actually looks like a pretty efficient design too. Swapped to an ECU with a map sensor, those trumpets would sound glorious if they were open to atmosphere......
  12. At what point do you say to yourself, i shouldn't be driving?
  13. That's cool Those are actually pretty good cars. probably getting to valuable now for that sort of carry on.
  14. I'd say the latter. I swapped a 32/36 Weber off my A15 for a 350cfm 2bbl, and the reduction in fuel consumption was out of this world.
  15. Another intoxicatingly enjoyable thread update. Your taste in cars is questionable at best. But your build threads are beyond reproach. I saw the picture of the 3.5 with the intake removed and thought, man an alloy 4bbl with a Holley 390 would be awesome on this! But then remembered who's thread I was reading, and that's not how you roll. Keep your foot on the gas dude. We're all rooting for you!
  16. Late last century I sold a wof'd, reg'd rx3 coupe running and driving with a 13b for $4850. Makes that nose cone seem kinda spendy........
  17. The thing which leaps out at me about this build is, with the unaffordability of old rotor shit, that nose cone must have cost a kings ransom?
  18. Some good friends of the father in law used to run a lodge on the island too. We were always "going to go there" but never got around to it. Then they onsold it and moved on. Maximum regrats on that one.
  19. I've used VDO in the past. Anything modified needs a proper temperature guage. I got the shits with trying to guess how hot my engine was based on a (40 year old, built to a price) factory gauge with no numbers on it.
  20. Hey @SOHC, will you be racing this at drag day?
