  1. hey clint you were supposed to come see my car, when are you free?
  2. talked to engine builder today, rings in both cylinders 2 and 3 were broken so would explain loss of compression as well as head not properly flat. Found it also has teflon bushes in the gudgeon pins instead of using circlips, supposed to remove friction and allow the pins to rotate easier or something, pretty cool all the little things that have been done to the motor. Also got double valve springs from kelfords and another motor which had an a3 cam which will be going into the rebuilt motor, good for 8000rpm. The other motor has some fancy bits in it too but it will wait until the current motor has finally died before rebuilding that
  3. I thought there were some funny rules about running the roll cage up to the front strut towers in that you couldnt do it any more as it stiffens the car and is not related to safety, is that right?
  4. ring up weber specialties and tell him what you are doing, he should be able to get you the right jets
  5. If you were as cheap as possible, it would cost around $300 for bike carbs a 32/36 is probably the cheapest option but with the least power gain

  22. the running low thing was weird, because once I decided not to keep refilling/checking it, it actually ran cooler/more consistently. Most of the way back the engine was running quite cold
