  4. cheers ,when i built that car i think i was one of the first in nz to transplant the commy v6 even the local holden dealer couldnt help me with much . first started to do the job in late 92 and finished in late 93 . full rebuild on whole car took time and heaps of $ was finally redg and certed in early 95 drove it for 2 years without missing a beat then flicked it to buy house. if i still had it prolly have supercharger or twin turbo set up by now as kits are avail in aus now then it would have been scary
  5. yup http://www.cardomain.com/ride/741564 the torrie set up was pretty easy as we used the stock ecu /intank pump etc so it was really only a case of plumbing a return line and wireing the computer and pump relays and fan etc
  6. a mate of mine has a zc powered crx rally car has 160hp at wheels with only mild mods [hi comp pistons, cams ,pod ,exhaust ,ecu.] its an ex dave strong car and is fuckin qik wieghs about 750kg stripped and caged also has a lsd diff. goes extremly well and is f#&*in fast on shingle[me just about shat pants]
  7. how hard would it be to set 2 of these throttle bodies up on my 351w ? what sort of ecu ? can u get a fuel only ecu? as i still have a dissy could 1 efi pump supply the 2 t/b. youve got my brain working now . i have set up an efi system b4 in my lc torana [3.8 v6] so could prolly do most of it my self
  8. yeah there seemed to be alot of bullshit about using laser steeeing columns and such like . what bot arms have u used?

  14. it been a while but ithink all holleys are -8 same as the fittings on 4 barrel carbys
  15. went to racecourse in hastings on fri for look and to 1st stage on sat morn with RSCORT got wet feet walking in [homo mashall] and all my photos were shit. gave the green falc the big thumbs up[cant do too many skids or go too fast] he gave me the thumbs up when i passed him going the other way on touring stage[me in fairlane]
  16. a decent engineer shouldnt have any probs redrilling to falc stud pattern
  17. me too prolly sat morn first stage behind tuki river. sum good hairpins =driftin just gotta find out wat time prolly have a look at racecourse on fri too and finish on sat in hastings. oldschool cruze?
  18. i have a drive shaft loop for sale if ya interested was made for my mk2 but will fit anything. by the way whose is the fairlane in the background of ya pics how about sendin me sum pics of it not many like mine around
  19. yup mk3 zeph had em on my mk2. if you could find a TE aussie mk5 4.1 swap the whole front suspension and redrill it for falc 5 stud as they are already vented. the prob with zeph hubs is that they have a small centre locator and any late model falc wheels have the large hole so all the weights on the studs. some wof guys and certifyers frown upon that
  20. from my experiace with certing i reckon as long as you do a good tidy job thats finished properly. its the things like no spring washers on engine/trans mounts that they always pick up on. lets face it unless you or a close friend or relitive is an engineer your gonna pay someone to do the major bits. and unless hes totally useless most things should pass a cert. theres just a few rules and guidelines surrounding stuff like full driveline swaps etc eg v8 into capri.
  21. what had to be fabricated out of that list of mods you posted the coilovers were prolly the most extensive mod and even thats a pretty simple one as for gearbox and wheels what was hard about that? Rich ring up ya certifer and get him to have a look at ya car he will be able to identify any areas that need addressing. i think any tunnel mods have to be done in 2mm plate now for safety reasons eg exploding clutches
  22. yep i think thats right too. wde body like me has or intends to highly mod an old car [ not just minor part changes] which require custom 1 off fabrication. so i think he has a very good handle on it
  23. your mods are basically bolt in with little or no fabrication required that is why its so cheap. ring him up and ask how much to cert a 350/auto/9in in a mk2 corty with vebnted disc adaption . master cyl and tunnel mods. the reason u have to cert batt relocation is 1- new cables have to be run he will check if it too close to exhaust/driveshaft brake lines etc if it rubs thru it could cause a fire 2- battery mounting put a loose batt in your boot and crash into sumthin see how far that 20kg brick will go.
  24. nah its a factory 351 windsor, fmx and 3.25 lsd 9in
