  1. Lol. This ties in nicely slash exactly with the conversation I was having with manu yesterday about doing motor swap from the van into truck. And worried about fuel tank condition. I suggested keg, as he has two sitting there, which then went on to stake bed and cutting roof off, then reverse mounted twisted brass windscreen stays.
  2. Went for burn up and back down the hutt motor from the truck place it went to before heading back you're house. No sightings north and back from the gorge up these ways sorry. Made some conclusions tho. Driving while trying to scan both sides of the road in the rain is tuff work. And there is an epic amount of crap on the sides of the road I tells ya!
  3. oh i see now. Well thats interesting to know! Well done getting it legal tho pal!
  4. haha, I was going to suggest giving you a box of Panhead super chargers and getting you loaded up then jumping on your bike and riding the trip.
  5. fuck manu just jump in your car and start looking! To rare to let go missing! tell me the route and I can check hutt valley for you

  7. Throw it through there window and tell them there is something wrong with there ventilation
  8. You mean you don't get into your t bucket by climbing over the engine and over the tall flat piece of glass with twisted brass stays supporting it? Man..... no wonder people look at my strange
  9. hmmm...... weird that it would turn. wonder if either hammered the front gear to much trying to get it off, or over choocked it putting it back together.
  10. Science will tell you yes. But. When you think about it...... how does an alternator know its got a calcium battery attached to it instead of an old fashioned lead?
  11. Turns out my presumption was correct. Thanks allan. Thallan
  12. Please do a well established step by step build thread please.
  13. Professional asking a possible amateur question here: Holden 202 Alternator wiring. Has terminal D+ for the charge light. Am I right in assuming that this works as an earth wire for the charge light? IE: one side of bulb to ignition, other side of bulb to the D+ terminal? And open circuits when alternator is charging? or does it work opposite? which if that's the case, will be a big bag of balls.
  14. straight bolt in mate....... Lol. We get that all the time nothing is straight bolt in. NOTHING
  15. Check free length of tensioner spring is 61,8 mm14. Replace if necessary. Fit tensioner spring 14.Note: Rubber sleeve on spring should point away from tensioner pulley. Ensure timing marks on camshaft sprockets aligned with cylinder head upper face 9 & 10. Ensure crankshaft timing marks aligned 15. Fit timing belt in following order: Crankshaft sprocket. Guide pulley. Exhaust camshaft sprocket. Inlet camshaft sprocket. Tensioner pulley. Ensure belt is taut between sprockets on non-tensioned side.Note: Observe direction of rotation marks. Slacken tensioner bolt 13. Allow tensioner to operate. Fit crankshaft pulley boss 12. Fit crankshaft sprocket bolt 8. Turn crankshaft slowly 1 5/6 turns clockwise until crankshaft sprocket mark aligned with tension setting mark 16. Tighten tensioner bolt 13. Tightening torque: 38 - 51 Nm . Turn crankshaft slowly 2 1/6 turns clockwise. Ensure crankshaft pulley boss locating pin at 12 o'clock position 11. Ensure timing marks on camshaft sprockets aligned 9 & 10. Apply a load of 10 kg to belt at 17. Belt should deflect 6,0 - 7,5 mm . If not: Repeat tensioning procedure. Install components in reverse order of removal. Tighten crankshaft bolt 8. Tightening torque: 157 - 166 Nm . Tighten crankshaft bolts 1. Tightening torque: 12 - 17 Nm . Fit crankshaft position (CKP) sensor. Ensure crankshaft position (CKP) sensor air gap is 0,5 - 1,5 mm . I havnt read anything off that Just that info is for a BJ chassis with a 1.6 (ZM motor)
  16. Sooooooo. You're meant to rock a converted manual car but retain the auto spec brake pedal?
  17. Generally. When cams are at tdc the inlet and outlet cams on number 4 should be facing away from each other. Anyway remind me tomorrow and will see what auto data has to say. But if you can see the cam dowl on the non vvt gear is at the top, and the cam gear happens to have a mark that matches something, then use that mark as a reference to figure out where the vvt cam goes?
  18. And only took you a month and a half to actually have a look lol
  19. Well this was fun! Wet? But fun. Deff keen for more of the same. Winui and kiatoki
