  1. how would it go pushing a tranny van?? and where would i find one of them? ....hmmm : It would haul ass, trust me. Absolutely haul ass. I used to beat RB20DETs in mine. That is my old engine out of one of them...what concerns me is I swapped my 2nd R30 to a guy in Chch...they 2 days later it got stolen from him and taht is the same motor. I can tell by how the pop off valve is bunged with that particular bung, the blue leads and the BOV. But who knows. That person could have bought it and had no idea etc. it was about 4 years ago. But those motors kick ass. $450 with a gearbox is rather good. so was it a good motor?? anyone want the ld28???? stroker crank for l28 project perhaps????
  2. is the l20et easy to wire up? and do you reckon the ld28 auto flex plate will bolt up to the l20 crank?? im guessing it will but who knows....

  5. not bad at all for 2k.... just as i wrote my post i got a call from the guy who wants our proceed...he picks it up on sat...3500 cookies, choice wouldv been happy with 3000...paid 2800 for it...lol
  6. we got a 92 proceed.. ive raised the torsions by an inch to level it out aswell. got new wof thats about it...may be sold this though, then i can get a real play toy,something SWB..

  8. at $1.45/L plus road users for a van its not more economical....plus reg is more aswell. id rather pay $2/L and have more power for skids/hills
  9. cert is for a inline 6 injected turbo nissan motor,so l20 or rb20 is a ok...score bloody sweet ride....
  10. lol....probably...but easier to fit... i dont care about outright power... so something along the lines of an rb20e or something.. may even go for a 3.8 commo motor cos theyr cheap. no falcon 4l straight 6s in the south island on trademe,except a tickfor, but its in bits.. it all depends on if itll pass a wof first, i know it needs brake pads cos theyr metal on metal, wondered why it pulled to the right,went to check the caliper slides and oh damn..
  11. yeah, there were laurels prior to the c33s...oldschool with ld28s maximas also had ld28s at one stage, the old rwd ones. hard to find a l28 these days... surely some hard angle hat wearing drift steez ghetto peep would know everything about every nissan to know what will fit what... mainly keen to know if a auto rb trans uses the same spline drive shaft yoke...im sure the mounts shouldnt be far off... exhaust is on the same side.... might even go for a falcon motor and auto if i can get hold of one...
  12. ok so the van has an ld28 in it with auto trans... want to go back to petrol power.. does any rb20/30/25 bolt straight up to ld28 mounts? i know that rb's go into laurels and shit that had ld28s,but do they bolt in?? not after turbs, just want a reliable runner... also how much of a mission is it to wire the ecu/loom into something that doesnt really have a loom?? cheers

  14. have a look at late model rx7s mate, they lean over too... as said above, aslong as the filler is the highest point or a seperate header tank fitted.. i think the weight of the g zeros will labour the engine quite abit ae...lol good pics by the way man...

  20. havent done squat to this in ages.. ive thrown some mid gloss black over it cos the matty b was shite... although shes not much better cos i couldnt be arsed sanding it back properly.. free paint anyway so meh....but the crazy cracks are still there..lol ive ripped out the old shelving and crap from the back so its a proper van now. want to get a wof on it, then pull the ld28t out and put in a 4l falcon motor,cos rego and rucs are too friggin expensive.. so, anyone want an ld28t? lol... oh also found that the brakes pads are around .5mm thick...yikes......replace or nah???

  23. check coil pack earth.... possibly faulty ign sensor.. both common probs in stockcars
