  1. Guy from Crapengineering is a chick called Claire ... i have not seen any using anything other than kl flywheel on any of her builds /kits for others prob ten + so far never seen an rx flywheel version
  2. kl onto rx8 box with pics still live http://www.locostbuilders.co.uk/viewthread.php?tid=185939&page=1 http://crapengineering.weebly.com/ https://www.facebook.com/Crapengineering-1228093233900228/ http://www.mx5nutz.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=171266&page=3
  3. Back up a bit there ... Is that a rare as Capella 4wd v6 wagon ??? Auto or manual? If you have to buy a flywheel get a KF 2.0 v6 one they are the lightest k8 1.8 is next and kl is heaviest all fit will dig out the part numbers for late kl 36-1 crank pulley and for the blanking plug for dist hole very late klg4 went to wasted spark no dist
  4. Yeah I need to redo the pics in my thread too and add the recent ones of engine mounts and chopping off the egr port rx8 box should fit nicely in the tunnel as it's the same Aisin gearbox in later mx5s (different bell housing for rotary ) and for some light reading 54+ pages on rwd klv6 https://forum.miata.net/vb/showthread.php?t=434146
  5. Yes go the v6 --- can get kl to rx8 adapter plate from Crapengineering on Facebook in the uk Claire has made a few before - and the flywheel spacer to match other hurdles are the sump and the intake and looks like you have been practicing for that on the pinto need to lose the dizzy off the kl for space so that means standalone ecu of some type and the egr blank plate that sticks out most on the back rh side can be cut back further too read Alex's viva thread 3 more times then there are a few more builds I can point you at
  6. Hino does that size in 4wd double cab with a decent size deck mate has one. Goes very hard for what it is and much roomier inside cab than double cab dyna/Isuzu have had a couple of the 2wd versions as work trucks Prob won't get 6m length load on any of the decks but you can always drop tailgate /overhang load / tie a flag on the end
  7. I just read that NMR wiki page and now I have even less idea what they are on about ...
  8. A certain white very uncommon ute ? Hope you can get it needs saved for sure good luck
  9. The Ka-pie car bro... Nice cruiser ... My first car at 17 was one of these what flavour of Bedford gearbox is it ?
  10. Ordered 2 throttle arms from speedway motors USA - about the size of a marker pen each arrived in a box about the size of a dozen cans full of USA bagged air ... Lucky their shipping was cheap
  11. Cheers that works for me - I have the size wheels I want but not the perfect old set of wheels in that size yet I know there are issues when people get jacked hiluxes certed on wide 33s then put stock wheels back on and wonder why they fall over on corners
  12. Do they record wheel offset on the cert plate now or just rim diameter and width? Like if you certed on 15x7s would you be all good for any other brand/offset wheel as long as it was 15x7 and same tyre size?
  13. So they do a direct fit replacement ? Paid 220 odd delivered to South Island but that was direct from seller who is a member of the hairdressers club but he does sell all sorts More details can prob get a price ( stuff paying freight on coolant that ya can buy anywhere) - bet std rad is not much difference in price mounting would be the thing to check on - direct replacement or uses mounts off your old rad
  14. Fenix/redline virtually the same fenix must have sold thousands to mx5 owners in nz ( replacing stock stupid plastic top and bottom tank alloy rads) std generic china alloy rad mine seems sweet apart from throw the alloy bung away find a same thread replacement ( shit material for a threaded bung) ok welds nice finish cheap prices
  15. Yep roger that I am going for quite firm engine mounts compared to stock floppy version and replacin all the rear diff carrier bushes - have seen many of these done with mounts that would not pass nz cert and heard no issues will keep an eye on it for sure
  16. Mazda v6 200kg odd 150 horses and torques if lucky maybe able to sneak another bolt into the plates onto engine for 4 each side - going into mx5 so gearbox mounts to ppf/diff
  17. How were they running cooking off same tank ? Gas stove bottles draw gas from top - vehicle tanks draw liquid from bottom and vaporise near the carb ...?
  18. Oh and install cool stickers on bumpers
  19. Need tank in current test (vans need it boxed and vented to outside) LPG install plate ( alloy plate from random LPG guy cost me 15$ did not look at car at all ) lpg warrant and sniffer test 45$ done sell petrol tank and retard hell out of ignition for slower burn and enjoy cheap motoring
  20. File limit...more photos via fotofucket soon ...
  21. Need some design input on my engine mounts for cert - 6mm plates bolted to engine with 3x 10mm bolts 6mm wall 50x50 box to be welded to plates 6mm wall tube welded to box to hold rubber mounts with crush tube inside 6mm 100x100 box cut and drilled for 10mm thru bolt for rubber mounts -these brackets bolt to factory engine mount locations on subframe with 2x10mm bolts (stock is 1x 10mm bolt + locating pin) tl/dr does this look shit or overkill- ignore tack welds -certed welder will be gluing for me
  22. Yes anti dive is a known good feature of leading link forks when I have been setting up bike calipers onto odd thing I set the caliper onto the disc in the right place for pad contact up/down with the adapter attached then rubber band the brake lever to hold it all in place then rotate disc to wherever the adapter is gonna attach always make sure the disc clears the top of the pad
  23. Ok thanks best spot for physical space seems to be at end of hardline from tank /pump to engine bay and before the short braided line to injector rail
  24. Front brake with linkage like that should cause brake force to make the front end rise = anti dive braking system
