  3. Thread dredge. Still got this thing sitting in the driveway gathering rust and spiders. Just bought another one. A petrol one this time, sight unseen from Te Anau museum. They say it starts and stops like it should and everything works on it. Now working out how to get it home.
  4. It must be possible to switch on the sidelights while the headlights remain off. How about using the two position switch for sidelights and headlights with a separate switch for high and dip beam?
  5. The wof guy might not notice but the insurance assessor might in the event of an accident. How hard do they look at that sort of thing?
  6. The thought process that engendered that diorama is incredible.

  21. True that.
  22. Not BLMC locost_barry?
  23. Man who sits next to me in the office claims a fairly reliable 25mpg from a 302W powered XD Falcon.
  24. Welcome to the wonderful world of BMC ownership. Serial and multiple BMC owner since 1983 here. You are definitely making the right decision to reengine your Mini. My first car was a Mk2 Mini 850 with the magic wand gear change. I had a lot of fun with it but nowhere near as much fun as the 1098 powered Clubman that replaced it two years later.
