  2. So much sun. I can still smell the sunblock / sweat / fuel / rubber combination. Leadfoot was brilliant, it does really feel like a mini Goodwood (humblebrag). Here are my crappy photos. Car park spotting was half the fun. I took lots of video rather than photos of the actual racing action. Spot the oldschool members rides! "Hey I know that car from the internet!" was a constant refrain.

  6. Oh my god, that loose fiberglass insulation gives me nightmares of The Itch! That is something I really don't miss about working on an AW11...
  7. With the rear struts, the SC cartridges are a different size to the na car. Larger diameter if I remember correctly. My first sc had no lsd and a sway bar. My second sc had a very tight lsd and no sway bar. The second car seemed to handle better, and the power oversteer was amazing and controllable fun. I eventually fitted an sw20 sway bar and tabbed struts. The change wasn't noticeable on the road, but I didn't have a chance to track it.

  11. I'll be taking the train, bought tickets for Saturday grandstands, but everyone keeps saying two days is worth it - so I just bought a Sunday general ticket too. Less than 2 months to go! Might go to Super Car Sunday tomorrow, and aim to get to the revival as well. Got to make the most of it while I'm here

  14. The stock plenum chamber will leak. A mate has this motor in a KE70, with an SC14 supercharger. The standard intake manifold is being used, with a custom alloy plenum. Runs about 10 psi, with bigger injectors, intercooler, standard internals, and a Link G2, from memory. EDIT: Found a pic Goes hard, and is reasonably reliable. At a guess it makes about 120kw at the wheels. I haven't seen a dyno sheet. The main thing is to be really careful with the fuel control and boost, with the high compression on the 20 valve motor. I say do it! I built a turbo 16v 4agze MR2 years ago. That went quite well, until it blew up at least.
