  1. Cam and valve springs arrived not much left on the backside of the cam! head is back from shimming mount for the carbs and throttle wire holder made first a coupple of revs then a little drive! i need to do some exhaust work and a low pressure fuel pump
  2. Cam is now payed, hoping for them to ship it back today... Had nothing to do so decided to paint a bit
  3. Shop cleanup nice angle! dirty and ugly just ugly ^Feeling like Mr. Beans BOOM my eyes hurt , I need to find a new spot for the regulator details the head is old on with one bolt so is the cam cover PURE LOVE not too much space here, cant get my finger in between thats if for now
  4. Engine out after some thinkin i got the cam out ewww cam and lifters i loove this lift, moves left and right on a beam that moves back and forth in the workshop all homemade
  5. I think mine are CV's too the slide is Vacume operated and the throttle only control the butterfly valve Ill need to get hold of a air/fuel meter and weld into the exhaust before i do anything Guessing im going to need to get smaler jets or lower the needels since they sat on a 1,6 2T engine but hen again this is a Semi-Worked 1,2 soo it should not be that much off needels is sitting at the highes right now.. Do i need to sync them after the rune or is runnign the same jets and needle enough?
  6. blocked off the exhaust hole and made a heatshield on the top of it and i finished welding my inlet manifolds rawr fits nicely float bowls almost horizontally cylinders looks good tried getting the cam cover off but i could not loosen the pulley wheel awesome frame number why i dont feel like buying RHD extractors.. just cant get tired of looking at theese
  7. Keep in mind im no welder... i'v had a 10 min guid by graddad but nothing more... + been rust welding all this Freaking car and build myself a "gocart" but i did not learn so much started welding them up must be free flowing when you can see out where the valve sits perfect some small adjustments and i got them like 3-4cm further back moooar space room here aswell as all of you know, if you cut a pipe at an angle it looks like an egg afterwards... so my pipes did not fit my holes... you can see the edge there.. a huge air block.. all 4 had these.. welded a bit inside there then grinded it back down a bit more cleaning up and they are perfect! lets just hope this is air proof... i just could not fit the weldder in between them so i had to do it this getto way..
  8. manifold is under porgress! what kind of hp do you guys think ill be seeing? should i get a hotter cam and some stiffer valve spring for more lift?
  9. original carb looks small.. Needs some porting Snapped all fraking bolts NEEEDS LOOOOTS OF PORTING Very rough Used a couppel of hours trying to match everything and get it "free flowing".. have to weld it up porpperly, iv just welded a bit here and there in case i had to take it apart... and it ended up very close to my brake pump... ill try to get it further back i love this!
  10. Finaly got arround to draggin the Carina home again.. porpper equippment! 1965 Volvo Buster BM400! the Buster just could not do it so we had to get a 4x4... anyways , i got what i need rigggght here! Mikuni Flatslides from a 1100 GSX-R Now i need to make a manifold that fits the K series engien with the exhaust and inlet beside eachothers..
  11. manifold off removed 2 valves before i went home aswell Plans -Hot Cam, from 246 durations to 270 ish -Shave the head, i need to measure the combustion chambers... i could need a bit of help here... -Port the head a bit, and the manifold -Re-grind the valves
  12. Thanks! Yeah its me from MCM Been talking to a guy from Australia, he may be able to arrange a Cam and Lifter regrind for me! if that gets done im going to Port & polish the head, aswell as shaving it, clean everything up and then Re-Grind the valveseats and slam the hot cam in it, If i find money for it ill buy some Doubble valve springs and a better carb, sourcing parts is my biggest problem since the Oldschool comunity here is really small.. i got Quad 1100 Gixxer carbs in parts car but i dont know about the manifold, then ill have to make my own... i could have done it if the engine was crossflow but since the exhaust and inlet is on the same side its kind of problematic... Thinking about the Tighe 154 cam, original is 246 Dur in, 246 Ex and 0.338" lift Tighe cam , 276Dur In, 281 Ex and 0.398" lift http://tighecams.com.au/cars.htm what do you guys think?
  13. I cant stand my rims anymore, but im out of money, its not free to get a licence and its not free to get this car registerd ... sooo i cant use any more money... anyways, got my new exhaust gasket, going to change that soon... and i looked at some pics of some other 13" teta rims, but this time.. polished! could not understand how they did get their plastic center covers polished but when i found mine i saw how.. a chip in in paitn revealed it all, they are plastic but have a aluminium plating over the front! sanded it down a bit, seems like someone painted i them with a crome spray then with a gray spray sooo im going to regret saying this but i am going to polish up my rims... going to take a loong time..
  14. Discussion thread added at the top of the thread ________________________________________________ FFFF**** this shit! myc back is all destroyed, my neck is in massive pain, iv beeen laying under the Rolla yesterday and today after school, trying to figure out the freaking exhaust leaks, trying diffrent bolts and shit... first problem--> the car will not fill the lift.. so i had to improvise problem number two, the gearbox fell down... soo therefore Warning the weldign is crappy as i have to lay flat on my belly and then try to raise my head and hands to weld... its freaking impossible and exhausting! then i had a leak at the manifold to pipes, found out i was missing a bolt and missing the gasket then i managed to put the gasket the wrong way arround, im freaking hating that little 3k! been working on toyota M motors, and R motors, they are sooo much better to work on! why is the starter on the same side as the exhaust, Carb, and regulator?!??! you need a lift to change the starter without removing the manifolds... grr sooo then I'll drop by the Toyota dealership tomorow, and ill try to source a bolt that does fit
