I wanted a 110 but there was no stock so ordered the 125.
I got them for the same price. I would have gone for 110 cause no clutch cable, but was easy enough to rig one up.
I don't think you'll regret going either way tbh.

re: sandblasting (sorry started replying and actually had to do some work so now way off topic)
Take it somewhere good for Sandblasting like Chris did. My personal sandblasting stuff wouldn't cut the mustard - way too weak / slow / shit.
All my chrome came off mine too, they managed to do inside the frame etc and it was a pretty quick process.
Advice is to get some primer on it pretty quick though so it doesn't surface rust - or powdercoat etc.

Yeah it's an interesting one @Chris.QCR - The Lifan setup wont fit due to brake pedal, and CT90 pegs need adapting for Lifan mounting holes.
I feel it's gonna be easier to adapt CT ones than Lifan at this stage, but haven't spent much time looking at it yet.

I finally finished my wiring loom last night. All the lights I have work (aliexpress hurry up cunse) horn works, and wires don't get hot when I turn the key. Seems I mastered wrangling pixies so far, although will need to check for charging etc.
Nek is fuel (carb-spin and tank plumbing) then i can kick 'er in the guts and do hunnits on the stand cause still waiting for the rear sprocket to come from the internet land.
Also remembered I need to fabricate foot pegs and probably quite a few other chobs.

I used to cable tie one of those small ones to the bike when I did motocross. Was a compulsory requirement at Woodhill. So small and light you didn't know it was there. A+.

I'm no metal gluer but what I have learnt is:
1. What the fullas above are saying.
2. I use argo-shield gas, .6 wire (smallest I could find) and follow the instructions on the box.
3. After cleaning with a wire wheel, I often rag with brake-clean to get rid of any oil/ grease crap too. (This is mostly due to British car, where even the panel gaps leak oil.)
Also - take up peoples help offers. I would / will etc.

If the above photo's are showing, it's due to Iforce.co.nz being down. I am now trying another site.
Whero
1. (verb) to be red, turn red.
Dame Whina Cooper: Otirā ehara i te mea ko te pītiti anake, engari ko ngā āhua rākau katoa pēnā tonu tō rātou ritenga tae iho ana ki ngā huarākau ririki, arā, ki te karani pango, mā, whero, me te rāhipere, me te kūpere me ētahi atu o ngā huarākau ririki katoa ka pai CT90 kunts (TP 12/1905:7). / But it's not as if it is only peaches, but all sorts of trees that are treated in that way, including small fruits, that is, black, red and white currants, raspberries, gooseberries and all the other small fruits. All good things red are derived from our Almighty savior, Cook's Transport.
It was considered a miracle that Whina made the walk all the way to Wellington in 1975. Only a few knew her secret.
Another page of history, not seen by many.
Because I can't remember where the story is up to, I'll skip to some paint.
The paint colour was chosen by a highly technical process:
1. Go to Papatoetoe Colour Centre.
2. Ask for a tin of cheap mis-tint in red.
3. Leave with said tin.
Colour with some hardener and a bit of thinners. Tumeke Paint Stirrer ©
I'm no painter, so I did my best with winter's only fine day.

At this point I should have put a clear coat on. I didn't due to 1. - Clear paint never agrees with me, and 2. It started to rain.
Tamiya 1/1 Cook's Transport kit-set (motor& loom sold separate) on @chris r's Tonner.

Less sharn, more blog this time fellas - pretty busy at work.
Oxidization, or rust in this case, had really taken it's toll on the machine. Many cockle gathering journeys and puha finding expeditions were all part of the job for the CT, however in 1971 one of the biggest journeys was undertaken to help man kind:
There are few places this CT hasn't been (including Al's Mum etc)
Commander David Scott and Lunar Module Pilot James Irwin spent three days on the Moon, including 181⁄2 hours outside the spacecraft on lunar extra-vehicular activity (EVA). They collected 77 kilograms (170 lb) of lunar surface material. At the same time, Command Module Pilot Alfred Worden pulled some pretty impressive skids on the surface of the Moon, saying it was indeed a Scientific study of the lunar surface and environment.
The mission successfully accomplished its objectives, but was marred by negative publicity that accompanied disclosure of the crew carrying a secondary EV known as the CTEVDASC (Cook's Transport Extra-Vehicular Do A Skid Cunt) which they had planned to sell for huge profit due to it's profile after their return. Ironically, this mission was a failure due to the re-entry journey rusting out many parts of the bike and it was left where it landed, close to the New Plymouth Power Station.
Today, the rust is truly apparent. A strip down was needed. The large parts of to be sand-blasted and the smaller alloy items of for a clean at @Mr Vapour's emporium. At this point i decided that chrome was just not going to be a thing, and would instead be later substituted for a matte black.
Bits ready for a blasting. Also note CT-90 cutting fluid.
Some of the other crap that was vapour blasted.
Post blasting with some bloke that broke into my shed.
With the frame back, it was cleaned, welded where needed and primed to stop any nasty rust getting at it's bare skin.
While this was happening, I also sent a container of nuts/bolts etc off to Terei Bros. and things came back much nicer than when they left.
Before vs After
So, now, with a pile of stuff all shiny, it was time to start thinking about paint.
Front wheel after some Black Satin
New bearings front and rear.
A bit of re-assembly and some new rubber.
That's all the time I have for writing right now. Join us next time to see frame painting, wiring and more history of this amazing machine. Peace y'all.

This is pretty much how I envisage a cruisey cape ride to be...

Having owned one I suggest:
1. lift the battery out and check that it hasn't rusted through directly above the fuse box. (water/rust/pixies are a bad mix)
2. Don't break the rear window. (Get new struts if they have lost gas)
3. If it has dog leg 1st like mine did, remember this at the lights.
4. Don't lust after a 924.
5. Skids are expensive with the rear trans-axle setup if anything pops.
Otherwise have fun. Pretty much a VW van engine so pretty reliable. Early fuel injection isn't worth touching unless you have someone who knows how to work on them. I had the turbo version which was quite happy to swap ends in the rain - notably on the Khyber Pass on-ramp which proved to be quite entertaining.

Just get a 125/140/150/250/999
I feel the aero of most of these machines isn't ideal for terminal velocity. Ain't gonna stop me trying though.
