  1. Is it time to start discussing the Oct meeting? Labour day is Monday the 27th.
  2. If you get a recommendation, please let me know too, esp. if certified (as opposed to vertifiable?) for structural.
  3. Karl and organisers and Gophers all, THANK YOU. I had a great time, you guys and gals all rock. It's such a thing to have so many folk chillin', hangin' out in such a sweet location. Great to meet even more of the OS family. I haven't had such a great weekend for I can't remember how long (though my calorie counting leathers might). The bike ran like a charm, nice to see the team on the roads on the way through.
  4. If they're like West Coast ones, you'll need a 410 or bigger, with fine shot.
  5. .... and Jesse at Saeco Chch has come through with the goods. That's great, because the european option was lots of $$, which I was debating if I could justify. This will give peace of mind with all new moving parts in the engine. All ~19 of them (counting rings).
  6. Thanks for the ask, I'll prolly go with the Romanian supplier. How's $120 ea sound for price?
  7. Thanks, of course, Google (smacks forehead). I see what you're getting at with sleeving now. Waiting to hear about local suppliers, and have that option in Romania now.
  8. Good news! With help from folks on the forum, (and spotting that it's an SX0763CS29 SX0673CS29 [update: another typo, transposed digits] ) There are a few options. One chap in Romania has already responded with stock, price and shipping. I'm also waiting to hear from a couple of local sources. So the wee car probably won't be a runner for WinterNats, (I can take a bike I have instead), but it'll be getting a complete refresh. Who knows, another 40 years service? ~ nah, probably not, but this will give more peace of mind about it being reliable. Thanks especially Kicker and FlyingBrick.
  9. Thanks guys, you rock. I'm chasing a couple of options, guy jn Romania has replied, so 220 Euro and "4 days door to door" Lols. I've a couple of enquiries to wait for tomorrow. Where you getting the pics from please. Could you link to a 6206 for comparison please? Thanks, owe you guys beer
  10. Thanks for the tip, but, 'never stocked it'...
  11. Yes, that that looks suspiciously close, within 0.1mm / accuracy of cheap calipers on cold day. Thanks. I saw that link, but couldn't get to that part number on that page Good spot on the O/0. That's opened it up heaps.
  12. I got the bits from R100 last week, and pulled down one engine. It's a 2-stroke, so no timing chains push rods etc. Head off: 4 & 1/2 minutes. Barrels off, ~20 minutes. Crankcase stripped, ~25 minutes. I love working on 2 strokes. Sometimes. HPE have stripped the crank, and have enough bits to make a serviceable one. Except a main bearing SXO673CS29 (update: typo, need a 0 not an O) SX0673CS29. Google has no results. Ouch. I'll enquire with some chinese manufacturers, but it might be 'pick the best of the 3 sets', and carry on...
  13. Check the ac voltage while charging. There should be very little, can be a clue about a 1 arm of a 3 phase alternator rectifier being dud. (volts goes ^^-^^-^^- ), can't remember how little, compare to a good one (cos I used an oscilloscope to see mine)
  14. If it's an old heater, I'll bring you some parrafin and beeswax to polish it with.
  15. What model / cost cnc? I'me more keen on one than a 3d printer, because of the more stable materials. Also, for the 'tronics heads, 3d printer, and Solder paste, and Pick and place combo machine kickstarter: http://delta.firepick.org/
  16. R100 has bits for me, he's sending them today. I'm really keen to get this back on the road. I'm enjoying motorcycling on these warm winter days, but I do so miss my two-stroke toy car.
  17. ... make vid episode ??? ??? PROFIT!
  18. Lamb cutlet and kumara mash pie named NZ's best pie http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=11301005&ref=rss In other news, apparently there are no pies in the South Island.
  19. Hi, welcome. Please post in the 'discussion' thread, [now moved by mods] or better, make a thread so we can see your TukTuk! Parts discussion here: //oldschool.co.nz/index.php?/forum/8-parts-for-sale-wanted/ and please let us know if you find more places. Thanks
  20. Gonna have some awesome flares for those guards. Got a plan / parts, or gonna fab em up?
  21. I'd offer, but it's looking touch and go about having wheels. Rear seat on a GSXR?
