Bought a TT133 to track. Should I build the 2t?
smokin'joe replied to OldNathan's topic in Tech Talk
the three C's Carbs cam compression built one years ago for the rally car. 2T-B base engine (higher comp.), skimmed / ported head, mild-ish cam (kelford F59) flows , lightened flywheel, twin DHLA 40's. was a fun wee engine that kept the clubman $AGE's honest. currently have similar set up on 3T base with 45 DHLA's, but feel i should go back to 1600 for shits and giggles -

jesus Jared, one day you're talking budget spec, now you're talking gold nugget spec !! unsure if one can still get a C/R kit for T-50 whilst still being fatherworthy ? didn't get a chance to measure W-50 for you today, but without going stupid custom spendy, they may be a good option

$500 seems a bit steep. wasn't long ago $200-250 was the norm. i'll have nosey later and get measurements and see what i still have. i want to keep at least one W-50, but god knows how many are in basement. a month ago i found a stash of T-50's i forgot about and a K-50 with 4AG bell housing that i thought i had sold many years ago !!

W-50 has same output as avenger/escort BW box, and has a round front mounting face spigot that is similar too. the W box from coronas etc were a BW copy/sourced unit and usually very cheap. can measure front diameter in morning if you want.

as previously discussed, once i get a few things sorted, would be keen to supply a base for CatNats and make a weekend of it. my nicely grassed paddock has been taken over with manky shit that even perendales won't eat !!, once that back to good there be plenty of camping space for those who are not brave enough to stay in the house !! PS, if any of you fellas wanna get next years firewood stash under way, and live close enough, there will be a heap of trees coming down around xmas.- 1055 replies
