  1. Been Buying my bits from Motive Parts Supply Dudes a legend and an enabler here's his latest ideas for me.... I might actually have to think about registering this thing.
  2. Mmm carbys Got some eBay filters coming for these. Fuck I've spent way to much on this........ but my Mrs just spent $500 on a dress so naturally im trying to convince franklin cams to grind me a gnarly one up for it while I've got the one up.
  3. Engine on and off a zillion times trying to take my time so it doesn't end up a ballache to work on. Oh yeah mikuni time took 2 off so now have spares. If anyone can identify these going to order rebuild kits for them.
  4. Engine dropped a little bit further now. Starting to think about front forks with a bit more meat so I can run brakes Plastic front wheel will be going and swapped out for a wheel similar to the back.
  5. More done today to tie the back end to the frame and have something to lift it into my car by.
  6. I'm sure i can get this thing finished and reliable by then. Not getting arrested may be a issue not exactly quiet or low key....
  7. Recently got back in to sounds again. About 15 years ago scored 4 Orion extreme dual voice coil subs out of a sound off car as part trade on my chopper. They got stuffed in the boot of a Honda civic which at 3/4 volume would suck the sunroof off it's tracks. Use big cable and run both positive and negative back to your battery keep your RCA'S as far away from your power as possible and you should be off to a good start. My sound off car took 2 runs of 0 gauge cable and 2 alternators to crank properly. I used 2x runs so I didn't have huge snakes under my carpet.
  8. Actual proportions now lots to do still but it's getting there everything is where it's staying, front wheel hasn't been changed out yet but is sitting at the height it'll end up at. Had to borrow a gas bottle to do the welding it is coming together nicely and has as much or more deck to stand on, Still only 1200mm long so should fit in my wagon with handle bars off.
  9. If it's under 500,000ks you'll find it's actually low mileage for one of these.
  10. Just doing a tally up of all the parts and realised I need a fuel tank of some sort and a brake caliper. Fuel tank Will have to go under the deck so could be quote long 450ish mm's and 3-3.5 inches round anyone got anything suitable?? Old fire extinguisher used disposable welding gas bottle maybe. Getting my mig gas bottle filled at moment then it's full steam ahead as I want to be hooning around after Christmas.
  11. Get a Kirby vacuum they have spinning brush keeps the carpet nice and fluffy...... satisfying like a perfectly mowed lawn only indoors.
  12. Air to air intercooler all the cool kids are running them...... in the 11's! And do the whipple too.
  13. They're off a FZR400 that no doubt would scream to at least 10,000rpm so by my maths a v-twin that might see 5000rpm rarely should get plenty of air and fuel by 2 of these.
  14. Had exact same experience with my Commodore first run 15.2 2nd and 3rd were 2 tenth' s slower each didn't do a 4th run wasn't fun after that. Blowing some E85 in the back of the blower supposed to work wondersthough. Thats if your looking for the in between step before a intercooler...... do an intercooler or both.
  15. Bought these to sort the ugly intake situation. 2 spare if anyone is keen? Bought a centrifugal clutch to get it running couldn't justify the extra $130 for the Cvt just yet Will have plenty of grunt to counter the tallish gearing anyway. Might be a bit easier to control while pulling wheelies too....
  16. Throw some weights up front to hold the bastard down..... a holden starfire block should do
  17. Solutions for all problems except rust below.
  18. Ive decided to sell again after my Daily needing new wheels and tyres this week...... however mrs had a ball at night speed drags and wants to go again will try sell some other shit in meantime if I still have it after Christmas it will get more attention and hit the track again.
  19. Finally got to Drag wars ran 15.2 @90mph 25c outdoor temp and long cue meant major heatsoak into the blower...... I also left it in drive and had the air con on it was also the fastest of the night then the dude after me hit the wall lane was slimy as so I parked it. Water sizzles on the supercharger after a run so it needs Water/meth injection thru it to chill the inlet temps. Way more in it with a bit more practice and a cooler day easy into the 14's with meth injection maybe more.
  20. Will poke head in next time I pass thru town. I work in Auckland at moment till next week.
  21. 90% sure there is a Gyro on the junk pile at the Honda bike agent in Huntly.
  22. New project name. DONOR BIKE. Because of how many things have given parts to it........ and my girlfriend thinks I'll become an organ donor riding it. Nice and positive.
  23. New tyres cheap as chips for this size rim can get highway rated one's too. Don't like my chances of getting this registered or lams approved. 610cc moped reg might be pushing shit up hill.
