  1. The pit bike powered one stands out as been a rocket on the straights. Love it!
  2. My "Engine" certainly does. This image keeps coming to mind though
  3. Whats top speed of this contraption? considering this for tip runs with my trailer as i have my v twin that could be perfect and is only 2k's along back roads. cheaper than a tow bar on a vw.....
  4. Im so bloody tempted i just have no way of getting it home....... be a long drive.
  5. Scanned again today after clocking up 600ks Code came up for air loss between turbo and throttle. So pulled the diverter valve and cracked it open luckily its been replaced with a GFB unit. Surprisingly it doesn't run a seat for the plunger to seal on so i wound it down a bit harder to try get it seated firmer and will see about some new o rings that the plunger seals on.
  6. Finally bought a VCDS lead and licensed Software version and plugged in tonight and did a full scan fuck me this had a "list" as long as my arm of fault codes. Ive saved them cleared and rescanned only one came back throttle body related so i sussed out the procedure for an adaptation did it, rescanned and now its happy. The amount of things that also suddenly seem happy now is impressive. I recently hired a tech at work who is fluent in obd programming mitsi's hes built a 10 second lancer so i think i can trust him to have a crack at this..... after he has a practice on his Jetta hes just bought.
  7. Ive got some Devcon putty if you want to try it.... its impressive shit! If you can find the hole that is. Was joking about the Stop Leak.
  8. Curious is this double under head cam? EG Pushrod with a cam per cylinder in the block or a cam in each head assuming its a twin.
  9. Bearings and wheels been welded are a bit concerning hmm leaning towards the new one cheers. Looking forward to seeing how your 110cc one goes.
  10. If you happen to trip over an extra axle ive scored a motor and hoarded a bike to cut up with any luck can button one together for my sons bday in October.
  11. Shit..... that trader has stopped selling. Still rate the aliexpress options Super cheap and Repco seem to think they're good enough to throw their names on them.
  12. Slightly side tracked scored a Robin 5hp motor this week and another dead electric scooter a few months back so pretty sure ill bang the 2 together. Just need a wheel a sprocket and to reuse some old stuff from the first 2.5hp version to get the kids able to charge around with me.
  13. I bought a $90 jobbie off aliexpress can charge at 20 amps but also has enough balls to jumpstart, bonus feature is a desulphation function which breaks up the acid crystals that fuck batteries. Its revived several big 6 volt deep cycle batteries now bloody good value.
  14. Have had to turn out the flanges I had cut for the heads as there is ample meat left in the ports I've decided to open the heads up to gx690 spec from gx610 to help it breath better down the track. Exhaust ports will be going out to around 30mm and tidied up the inlets I'll go to town on too no water galleries to hit.... what can go wrong right?
  15. Housings are massive you could tuck some portable suns like my VW Has up in there ( the whole headlight unit) probably wouldn't be too noticeable if they were tucked well back in the VK housing. My vx commy had ghastly dim headlights LEDs went in and it was brilliant past its wof with them in too, i know above said nope to them so only an opinion i guess.
  16. How did that Robin engine work out for ya? Found one hiding among junk at work so hopefully its mine.
  17. Perfectly safe as long as your suspended over it so it cant attack your ankles.
  18. Have also owned one of these. Awesome little cars mine gave me no issues when i drove it daily. Handle and stop pretty capably stock a 4age in one would be awesome.
  19. The contradictory part is i know of a few people who have been knocked back on them, to then see someone say its fine leaves a grey area. Grey areas are annoying when your stuff gets pinged as been not up to scratch especially when you go to as much trouble as you have to get them in.
  20. I just pulled a set of carbs out of storage a few weeks back last night went to pop the hoses off man they were tight on there. Looked in reasonable nick from the outside the inside was dust basically. Fuel pressure would of seen fire for sure.
