SP450andLE
Hah it's actually pretty sturdy once it's done up tight. I'll have to see what it's like after a bit of a drive though
Raizer
Shit pic, but this is how a mate did it on his old beetle
SP450andLE
That looks a smart idea. I'll have to remember it if I ever need to redo the mounts
MahaMana
I liked option two for the lights haha. Nice roof rack man, I do prefer than bettle mount though =]
capone
Sweet car, im doing a 1980 1000 at the moment. Stripping the whole lot and only have the subframes to go before panel and paint. I have rust in the same spot as you in the bottom outside of the foot well. I like the idea on the white steelies, im toying up with going with mini lites or sticking with the steels and the chrome/polished caps. Steels I wont need arches but minilites I will so need to make a decision I guess as I will go with group 2 and have them painted body colour
SP450andLE
I would stay away from minilites, such a cliche wheel for the car (I'm too hipster for popular wheels haha) Don't skimp with the bodywork, it'll be worth every minute you put into it - the pics of mine will go to show that when I put them up! Indiana_Jones
Looking nice mate, jealous of your access to a GC painter and paint booth! And agreed on the minilites, every cunt and his mini seems to use minilites.......granted I would put them on an Austin 1800 Hopefully I'll see the little read beast next meet. kyteler
I dig that centralised AA badge in the grille man. Car looks good as a good thing.
SP450andLE
Yeah I wanted it to look like its meant to be there. The badge itself was a lucky find too, came in a box full of old badges some guy's grandpa had collected over the years. Thanks for your kind words hombre
