BlownCorona
you didnt put threadtape on the sensor? made that mistake once haha. also id recommend just putting in an oil pressure gauge. the lights are dumb, when it lights up after you've lost all your pressure and potentially damaged something. Spencer
Yea you guys really need to check these with a oil pressure gauge. Pretty much mandatory for any old engine to see the condition of the oiling system/bottom end. Use a $20 mechanical for a few drives (get it hot as shit like 30-40min drive) inspect oil pressure at idle and then put the gauge back on the shelf and fix the oil light
Spencer
Idiot light is still the best, gauge could sit at zero while you roll down the highway oblivious. Best bet is a big fuck off light that is set to just below hot idle oil pressure.
downtrail
I put loud pizo sirens in the race cars i wire up for this reason. Then you dont need to watch ya dash or gauges itll go off at 95deg water temp or below 15psi oil pressure dependent on motor of course.
japawagons
Totally agree with Spence, always check oil pressure with gauge, regardless of being suspicious of sender fault. Not something you want to miss the warning signs on...
Matteybean
Yup I brought a oil pressure sensor n installed it and light works perfectly now . Still haven't tested using a guage but I plan on doing so. Yeah I had the sump off before I had it in and looked pretty mint n tidy inside .
