NickJ
So my lada has spat the output shaft nut on the gearbox, only I can't do it up tight enough with my gear, anyone have a large set of tube sockets nearby that could help me? I have beer and some angus backsteak I could offer for your timeNick
Mof
What size are you after?
KKtrips
You could probably tighten it with a drift and a hammer. Also you may want to specify if it is a 12 sided socket you want as it looks kinda like a 12 sided nut in your build thread picture.
NickJ
Just managed to borrow a puller to get the lock collar off, its a 32mm nut, and normal 6 sided nut
spiderwebfx
Just an idea, but if you get stuck, a commercial tyre shop may be willing to lend one. It'll most likely be 3/4" drive, but it'll be tube. 32mm is the same size as Mercedes and Mitsubishi truck wheel nuts as well as a few others. Mof
I've got a 6 side 30mm impact tube socket at work. Otherwise I could raid works sockets

Bling
I have one, it's 1 1/4" so ~32mm. Do you just need the socket or?
fault
Will a shorter 32mm socket work or does it have to be longer to fit over the shaft?
NickJ
Lucky for me Mof was in the area and borrowed a 1 1/4 off him, all tight and hopefully she's go again many thanks to all@fault, nah the russians put a pesky shaft in there thats just long enough that a standard socket won't quite reach over!Cheers for the offer Bling, hopefully I have it sorted
