Phoeni's 1986 AE82 Corolla Liftback

Sooo here is my AE82 Corolla Liftback that I picked up off an ex girlfriend for $250 lol.

When I got her it had a cracked front windscreen and a split CV boot stopping it from getting a WOF and was in a crappy sky blue that was faded and turning white :?. On a plus note it came with two new front tyres and little toy soldiers blue tacked along the dash lol!

I have sprayed it in a gloss black (heavily rushed, I had to get rid of that blue :pukeleft: ) had the windscreen taken out just to find surface rust along the whole window frame which I brushed/sanded out and treated so the window could go in and also had the split CV boot replaced to so it got it's WOF :D. Got some crappy cell pics of the frame rust removal which I may put up at some point.

Also installed a head unit, two new 4" speakers for the front (old ones were rooted), two DVC 10" subs in boxes connected to a 250WRMS x2 Amp in the boot, and it also has some 6" speakers mounted in a plank of wood the the ex screwed in there rather then acquiring or making a proper parcel tray (which I intend on doing).

Plans:

Fix up the paint - Gonna respray patches, wet sand and buff up also apply a clear coat (currently only has base lol). Thinking bout doing inside of the engine bay and inside the door/boot white.

Better intake - Currently has a pod filter connected to stock intake pipe which goes into the stock air box (which had the stock filter in it....she was a winner)>.<

Parcel tray - Gonna make up a custom parcel tray with a frame to hold my panel I made on my UCOL course. I'll put pics of the panel up at some point.

Better/bigger carb - Don't really have any knowledge on this subject so any suggestions would be appreciated.

Bigger exhaust - Will probably start out by slapping a dumpy on it lol.

Forgot SEEN88 took a few pics of the window frame rust before it was removed and the window put back in. Also shows the horrible blue it was :pukeleft:

One of the "conditions" when purchasing this car was that the red nose had to stay....

Awesome. Have you thought about doing some basic mods that might get it bit more power?

These little things are so sweet.

I've thought about improving the exhaust and intake (carb, track) but my knowledge of the engine is slim at best so i wouldn't really know where to start. Any suggestions?

and for a small engine such as this, bike carbs would be very cheap.

also dont put a dumpy on it :doubt:

cut out any huge mufflers that it has, and replace with some nice bullet/coby/resonators. or what ever people call them this week.

with something nice on the tip, even just a classy weld on tip will do the trick, and the free flowing and nicer noise will be handled by the proper exhaust stuff.

Been forever since I posted, but I recently got a full time job and looking forward to throw some money at this car.

I got a set of 15x6.5 from Cashies last year for $100. Originally from a MR2 I believe. Just need tyres.

Wheel fitment seems pretty good.
