felixx
Ok so Mrs Felixx comes home in her starlet. "I think something is stuck under the car" I was looking for the cat/ dog/ child and couldnt see anyone/ thing jammed under car I took it for a drive and a rubbing noise (that is linked to your speed) occurs when you turn to the left. Came home, took wheel off, there appears to be a lot of life left in her pads (4mm or so) Sprayed brake clean in and around her brakes Wheel back on, noise is there. Maybe 4mm is not heaps left on pads (not up with the play on these modern things)? Any suggestions? Car is bog standard 1.3 auto FWD starlet
Beaver
no loose mudflaps or inner wheel well guards etc?
fuel
wheel bearings, CV joint, stone in brake caliper etc
Bling
Unless the 4mm includes the backing plate, that is heaps of meat. As above, check the inner guards for shiny areas where the wheel could be rubbing. Is it at close to full lock or at any rate of turning? felixx
any amount of LH down made the noise, wasnt a CV joint type of clicking noise tho.
