DiRtYnIgMa
Would i upset anyones apple cart if i put a RB engine into a sigma? i have a custom crossmember out of a sigma i bought off a guy that had a RB engine in his sigma before he lost interest and wrecked it. i have a old sigma sedan i might put the RB into. any thoughts feel free to post other wise it will be a xr6 turbo engine
fuel
Would an RB or XR6 engine even fit into the engine bay without firewall mods or moving radiator forward? A heavier 6cyl with most of its mass forward of the front axle line can't be good either. Why not a Mitsubishi V6?
DiRtYnIgMa
theres on on the web over seas. doesnt take much to fit them in just move the radiator foward. its been done about 3 times already. i measured up one and they fit in aslong as you move radiator. they arent really that heavy a 4g54 would weigh a fairbit. and on the other hand a falcon 6 would be overkill . not really into v6 engines http://bad-sig.blogspot.co.nz/2010/02/rb20det-sigma-from-thailand-update.html have alook on there . there is one on this site
fuel
IMO the 20DET would be a waste of time considering a 4G63 would be just as powerful if not more powerful. 25DET is better but again a 6G72 could provide more power and better weight distribution and be an easier swap. DiRtYnIgMa
yea thats true ive done 3 4g63t conversions over the years. would like something different
fuel
Nissan VG30DETT + box? even VQ30/35DET? unless it's an RB26DETT or RB30DET it really wouldn't be worth it.
DiRtYnIgMa
now that would be a good choice. a rb26dett single turboed would be nice. could do a vQ30det that would go alright. definatly putting my forged 4g63t into the wagon. just thought id get a few ideas and some abuse but i guess i could stay with a engine i trust and thats a mitsubishi engine
DavidTheCreator
i have a mate jamming a holden v6 into a sigma, nice and simple to do. good torque and ok power. is a bit bogan though lol
DiRtYnIgMa
what a waste of a good mitsi. lol different strokes for different folks i guess. im a ford person my self but as long as it works i know a guy that put a 3.8v6 into his l200 fairly easy. id love to rb26 the bad boy it would turn some heads thats for sure no one would expect it
Jase
i have a mate jamming a holden v6 into a sigma, nice and simple to do. good torque and ok power.is a bit bogan though lol what a waste of a good holden/buick motor hell if you have the crossmember done you are halfway there. it'd be a unique combo which would probably resell easy to the flatpeak/drift kids. i seem to remember the 6g72 required a hell of a gearbox to keep up with it, just going off what phil has underway oh and ere's a buick/holden v6 mitsi combo by the kids in hams eyfCZFZHghQ
DiRtYnIgMa
a lexus v8 would go alright they go good with some turbos slapped on the side. might just drop my RB25det into it and use it for skidds not that i participate in illegal activity like that lol. at the end of the day the mitsi is still a crysler
DavidTheCreator
how about a vq45?
fuel
unlikely to fit - its a very wide engine.
OSM Garage
8A8O! Even tho there is F all info on them, and getting spare'anything' would be impossible and being GDI, im still keen to try. After I win lotto of course!
R100
Put a mitsi V6 in it. Fuel knows what one to fit. I may even have a Mitsi V6 for you for a couple of hundred $$. Would be a sweet conversion. Something different.
