10Speed
As you can see the new foam pad is about 25mm too wide and 75mm too long? Should I trim it? I have looked at the cover and it seems to be a snug fit on the frame, so I am leaning towards trimming, but would like a second opinion... peteretep
I would trim it, you wont notice small descrepancies once its covered up
Bling
Not designed to wrap around the frame? I could be missing something...
10Speed
I think it is designed so the foam edge fits around the frame... but it's all speculation
Simon
I would hold off trimming it tbh. If it doesn't work you can just take the cover off and trim? Very hard to weld foam haha.
10Speed
so as to tidily conclude this thread for future generations, I sliced a 25mm section out of the middle and glued the halves back together with ados spray adhesive and left the bottom untrimmed... 10Speed
no, the foam is under heaps of compression... when you start fitting the cover you'd swear it was 100mm to small....
von Mako
Nice job! Is that an off-the-shelf kit or did you have it made? I need to recover my seats
10Speed
it's a TMI kit, though I think they're all made to order...
