dylann
That's not that bad. You should try wiring a Citroen. They use a grand total of 5 wire colours for the entire loom. If there was only 5 wires, i would be very happy with this arrangement
dylann
So i hooked the yellow to constant power, and the red to the cigarette lighter and it doesnt turn off when the car is off, or cranking. Checked the wiring diagram and the cigarette lighter goes to the fuse, then to the ignition, so im pretty sure i have the wire right. However, the stereo itself has an on/off button. In this case even though the stereo is constantly being supplied with power, if i switch it off, it should no longer drain the battery apart from the memory backup, am i correct in this statement? Cheers

Yammies
the stereo should turn off when the car is off. make sure the red wire goes to the accessory circuit - i.e. it switches off when the ignition is off, and on when the key is turned to ACC
