jakesae101
depends on if its the original engine or not in it , they do help you gain some low down on the old bluetops
Vintage Grumble
If it still has the original blue top ECU you may notice a bit of a flat spot/lag low in the revs, but thats about it. I had a red top being run by a blue top ecu, and it was a but gutless down in the revs, I guess because the ECU thought the TVIS was doing its thing, but it wasnt there. Spencer
I assume this is for the AE82 you were talking about previously?and it has the stock bluetop? I would be doing my best to run TVIS if so, removing it has no gains what so ever on a stock motor, you just loose bottom end. Is it just disconnected or has someone removed the buterflies from the plate? or don't know?
stacy
It had a big ass cable tie holding it open/shut? cut that shit off, different car no bogging at low revs and is more drivable round town, my wife drove it for the first time yesterday, wants to swap the odyssey for it but yeah na sorry. Spencer
Sounds like it was held open, it will drive much better down low with it closed, these things are so much fun to drive Anyway now you have to make sure its opening when you give it a fang or it will have nothing up top, its pretty simple system as long as the ECU is hooked up still to switch it, and the diaphragm is in working order it should be good to go
