Bellamy and East have a huge mechanical hammer that they run the leaves through to shape them. Snells in Auckland used to shape them manualy, ie hit them with a hammer. I've had sets done in the past and got them back with the leaf spring bushes untouched. They some times alter the length of the top leaf to keep the spring shackle angle good though.
