Gaz
I sold some roller bearing RS tops a few months ago which needed a rebuild, they sold for $150 with seized bearings. They are worth $650 for a set new, I would look at converting a strut top from something else.. I put some Tanabe ones from a WRX in one of my escorts years ago. pusherman
wrx strut tops you say. are they a strait fit? engine bay is alreadt painted motor in and running etc so cant chop it about. i checked palmside website and they want $575 for escort ones where as rally design in england want 69pounds each so about $250 all up. or take a brick and go looting which seems to be the "in thing" back home
My name is Russell
No mods to body required you just drill new holes in the hat and bolt in place to new PCD

Gaz
WRX one wont fit directly and I dont know of any that will. If you can get some for $250 that bolt in then Id go for them as it wont be any cheaper to use some out of another vehicle. When I did mine I drilled the body to suit because the strut tops had the bolt in rather than a removable bolt. As Chris said above tho if you get the right one you could just drill the strut top to suit the escort PCD. Remember you need to find one with a few things. 1. One that will slot up though the hole you have 2. Have enough meat to drill new holes in the right places. 3. Have the correct size hole for your shock to run through or youll have to make a spacer/adaptor. Gaz 3.
Raizer
I might be way off but for some reason I seem to remember being told that some Sigma ones are pretty much a bolt in. /spam
