Truenotch
Round 8 of the Manawatu Toolshed Road and Track series is an Autocross on the Manfeild Back track. This is a basic event and is great for first time competitors. The format is relaxed and you get plenty of chances to test your skills. If you have never done a Motorsport event before, this one is your chance. Almost anyone can enter this event - only a helmet and overalls are required. No license or club membership needed. Enter via the Car Club entrance on Kawakawa Rd. Documentation and scrutineering from 8:30am. Racing starts at 10AM. Pre-entries $45 (by Wednesday) or $65 on the day. To pre-register email Julian on manawatucarclub@xtra.co.nz For more information go to http://www.motorsportmanawatu.org.nz Last year:

rxsumo
It was the debut run for the Mustang - unfortunately the day ended early for me, when the little oil leak, discovered as I was putting the car onto the trailer on the way up.....turned into a major leak from the fuel pump - so it was put away after only 1 run. Had a ball - first time out in the car, still on its BFG whitewalls, no grip...sideways on demand....any concerns about not being familiar with LHD went out the window. Bring on December for both the last round of the R&T series, and the Intermarques
Truenotch
I think you would have been an equal candidate for most entertaining car. Sorry we didn't come up for a chat - was pretty hectic in the morning. The Mustang looks cool though!
palmystar
Looks like was a pretty sweet day. Wanted to go have a look at what was happening but had other commitments. Will be making an effort to get a car out there for the next one. Think the lancer may well be suited to that sort of event.
