LILVR4
hay there any got a good site for 4g54 turbo conversions thinking about putting a 2.6 astron into my sigma
lowlancer
sigma-galant.com??? Yanks and Aussies are the ones to talk to about this guff. Basically, it's a shitty truck engine that you'd only use if you had no option, though they'll tell you otherwise, because they have no other option
Ke36
haha yea the yanks seem to love them, and always seem to back it up with evidence of the toyota 3t engines
Jif
The yanks got these(in na) in their celestes and they had the highest power to weight in their day and 4 wheel disc brakes. Seriously through look on trade me for 4g54 parts and you dont get dick, so parts will be a bitch. Parts for 4g63 sohc turbo are heaps easier to get. A frend of mine in hams had a sigma with a 4g63 sohc turbo in it and for a pice of shit it went hard. 9psi, shot 175/13s, LSD(locked solid diff), truck air filter, cut uncaptive spring still went fast and did good skids. Jeffs_Emporium
I don't know what they'd go like with a turbo but n/a 4g54 really are a pos I had one in my Sapporo an it was rubbish, similar redline to a diesel ute without the low rev range torque or any real feeling of power, when I changed to sohc carb g63b it was a vast improvement
