JasonK
So its rego time again. I was wondering how (if possible and/or worth it) do I change my ke70 2 door wagon with no back seat from being registered as a van to a hearse, or do hearse's have a mileage restriction. Is it worth it and if so how? Cheers Jas
Leebo3
What I did, since my wagon really did used to be a hearse, is ask at post office how I register it as a hearse (cos it was one) and they said well, they are cracking down on that, but we will try it anyway. So put it through on the computer, and $30 for 6 months rego and wham. That was a few years ago. If any of my family dies, I usually chuck them in the back, and hope someone does the same with me in 70 years. But you dont see to many KE70 ex death cars thats all rofl. Try it anywho. KKtrips
personally I haven't even considered it as an option - how much does it save a year? - is it worth it to risk being nailed with a fine?
Seedy Al
according to my calculations If current rego back then was about $190 a year. And lee was paying $30 for six months then I would say you would save about $150 a year but, if pulled i assume you would be cranked out at $200 for incorrect rego Allan
Mr.Mk1
There was that lady last year in the news who had hers regd as a hearse, and her excuse was that she carried dead chickens home from the kwik-e-mart on a weekly basis (ie, grocery shopping). i cant remember how that panned out, but it was an amusing story all the same.
