Manda
Hey does anyone know of anyone who does dash restorations? Gonna get my dash restored while its out. Iv heard of a guy in aucks somewhere who charges around the 700 mark. Is that generally what you pay?
Brock-Lee
I got quoted 500 by some place in auckland about 2 weeks ago. I can dig up the name if you want. this was back to guaranteed mint condition

Manda
Yea I got no idea what they do...whats an oem finish? I want it to look like it never had any damage to it...kinda like new? haha. Write up could be handy please.
xsspeed
ok will scan and host it. oem finish would be as it left the factory. it was quite an involved process, hence the cost to do it properly. basically strip, remould bits if broken, finish, vinyl, cure, paint. Manda
Got mine done at Dashboard Restorations on North Shore. Pricey...but absolutely amazing job well done!! Looks brand new
Flauski
Dashboard Restorations are the only place in NZ that will re cover a dash properly to OEM quality. Places like fibrenew can fix small holes and small cracks, but if the vinyl split bad or is dry and cracks when you press it, then Dashboard Restorations are your only option in NZ. Manda
$150!? That looks like a pretty good job done. Is it as good as it looks in the pic?
Horse25
yeah pretty much, only flaw i would say is that in the corners of the hump that sits of the speedo part is a bit tight and doesn't mold in %100 but its pretty dam close, dash alone was $90 really happy with the job from what ive been hearing about what other people have been quoted etc
