My name is Russell
apparently 1600 ones are OK otherwise just fit a mk3 or there abouts 2l cortina one. hardly any modification required. Pick a part is good for finding these.
Raizer
Austin 1100 rad boe.
Gaz
Just use the standard 1600 rad. No cutting etc needed. 1600 core size is the same as 2l mk3/mk4/mk5 cortina rads so they WILL cool the 2l garunteed. Its what I ran on my first conversion. Ran the mk4 rad on my 2nd and made a 3 core on my third. On my mk2 Cortina I run the standard rad which is a diff one again and it cools. So thats another option. 1600 escort is the easiest tho. peteretep
how do you tell the difference between a 1600 and a 1300 rad? is it thickness or height or width?
Raizer
Height, same as the engine blocks the 1300 is taller than 1100, 1600 is taller than the 1300.
Gaz
Yeap its in the height. 1600 is quite a bit taller than 1300 rad. I can measure tommorrow if you want?
