BobbyBreeze
Have a couple. Kinda slowly progressing with my blue mini1000 every time i go home for holidays. May be down next year depending on how much $ i spend on it. Why'd you spend mega bucks on 1.5 ratio rockers before doing other mods? The front guard is the color the mini will be when I hav finished with the GT stripes. The running gear is out of a rusty 1275 and I decided that it would be cool to hav a Estate verson of the GT Cheers

CUL8R
Make sure you new guys start project threads up in the "user projects" section of the forum, after all not everyone visits the south island section (being that 2/3 are from the north island)

Mini Van Mad
Hey Mish. That sounds like a kick ass motor......will that b 85 at the wheels? Did you do the work yourself? If you dont use the downdraft what will you use???? Wat color are you gona go with the mini? when are you hoping to hav it going????? Cheers
mish
yes should be a good motor and i estimate it to be more than 85 the factory a series 1275 engine produces 60bhp but the a+ 1275 metro engine produces 73hp factory. with the head work i have done plus the rest it will be easy 85 i hope and i have done all the work myself with the help of my old man who is a mini nut from way back if i dont use the downdraft i will use a sidedraft dolorto or weber. the colour is the factory browny bronze (keeping in genuine and also if i did change it then would have to do the inside to) and i dont know when i will have it going im just waiting on the painter at the moment just assembled most of the gearbox today with new syncro's and bearings. cant wait ! steve
Nice!!! Just a couple of things - Are you doing anything with the drop gears? What sort of diff are you running (ratio and is it a cross pin)? My mini was at a similar tune but running a 1 3/4 SU and getting 79 horses at the wheels. Its in bits at the moment - I am going to try and get 100 hp out of it.
