Gaz
Take them out. Its one of the things the Rally prep guide does first to mod rear end.

Gaz
Also do you have upright shocks or shocks on a 45° at rear?

Gaz
Uprighting them is a good upgrade I am told, but not the easiest. Also removing a rubber mount at the top end where the shock mounts is prob worth doing if you do the above. Might need slightly larger lowering blocks also as it'll make your car a tad higher. QCADTA
Your not building a rally car though are ya? For ride comfort and the hasel of changing ride height just go to bnt and get some new noltec ones, called a sandwich pad, theyre not that expensive, i done my hole car. Gaz
For the comfort reason perhaps a good idea. Only do it I guess if you want it to handle slightly better. It will stiffen up the rear end, prob make some new noises too haha.
peteretep
im sure a nolathane one wouldnt give much movement how much were the pads from bnt?
eke_zetec_RWD
when i put altas in my esky i made it fit with out them, have to say i cant think ov any increase in noise or vibration. remember the diff os bolted to leafs and they are rubber bushed to body anyway. We just threw them away, and then used washers under the bolt through the spring leaves to build a pin the right size to locate the axle.
