NewGuy
As i am getting my petrol tank sorted out which could end up costing me more than it is worth, i need to look at getting a new fuel sender gauge unit. What will be my best options? Something that is also easy to install etc?

CaMpylobacter
so you're using factory tank? thoght about finidng a factory replacement sender, or, a secondhand number from a wrecked car? perhaps compare with tc, stag, toledo, or herald equivalent parts? How was the sender unit to be mounted? Yeah sender and gauge, just one of those plain black faced ones. Has a round plate with 6 holes in to mount to the tank (i modded the factory escort mount though) and you need to cut the rod the floats on to the length need (covered in the instructions) Can go in the top or side of most tanks

Even the standard dolomite had a different size tanka nd all. I need a new gauge sender anyhow. treggo
Depends what they had to do really. I guess there is added risk for them doing something such as a tank etc.
