nismo.capri
I put an old nut on the stud then gently bash the crap out of it. To get them back in I just do them up with a wheel on and check they have seated fully
Jonny
For a warrent, wheelnuts are supposed to be 7 1/2 turns onto the stud.

L0WMK2
depends on the nuts your using to, some nuts didnt fit on mine they pushed on the face of the wheel, i put ones on that sit inside the recess as per pics two different nuts my wheel

My name is Russell
I have also come across this problem today, was test fitting my 13x7's with the factory short nuts and i could get the nut to do about 4 turns untill hand tightness but then i couldnt actually fit my nut tightner thing e around the nuts hmm So am looking at getting some nuts this fella is selling on TM (pic below), hopefully they will work what you guys think? still havn't worked out if the 'Acorn Lug Nut' would be long enough or if i need to get the longer 'Mag Nut'. Could possably also get a full set of lock nuts that tighten from the end. (tyres fitted are only as test fit to get an idea looking for something like 185 50 13)

treggo
im using the acorn style nuts on my capri and they work fine just have to be a but careful when u go the final tight turns not to scratch the mag.
nismo.capri
The nut depends on the seat. Acorns are for a mag with a tapered seat, mag nuts for a flat seat.
treggo
do all supers have a tapered seat?

Unclejake
I'm thinking of changing the mighty Cortina to a metric stud or has anyone come across alloy wheel nuts in imperial threads? Unsprung weight is my enemy.

Gaz
I have two sets. One full set on my cortina (which may not be alloy) and one set on the rear of my escort. Escort ones are Gorilla branded and go for bout $150 a set. Pretty sure they alloy.
