thminiman
a copper hammer would get fucked up wouldnt it? NAH THERE PRETTY STURDY CUNTS PLUS WITH A WHEEL NUT ON THE STUD IT'D BE SWEET
sholdowa
You could use group 4 studs and mod the wheels. But as well as that being well expensive, they had a reputation for coming loose. But as already mentioned, they're a push fit in a star shaped hole. Dunno what you'd get longer studs off, though.
davidian
theres a couple places up here that wholesale them. you just take your studs in and get something with the same shank thats longer and more common thread. dunno bout chch
Gaz
Does this always happen with super/mini lites and escorts? How much short are they?
davidian
other rims too depending on design and offset. my new rims only have 2-3 turns of the nut on std. studs

escort mk1
Yea the studs are quite a bit too short they only just out of the mag and i can hardly even start a wheel nut on them. Il just my car on the road with hubcaps to start of with and then i try sort something out. the minilites are just 13 inch and i was told the were 5.5 inch wide but im sure they are wider. is that measurement jsut from the outside of the rims? davidian
should be stamped on the rim boe
sholdowa
I think that's why the original 4 spoke RS alloys had nuts that went a long way into the wheel.
Jebus
5.5" might be jj which is from bead to bead, can only be measured with the tyre off, if you measure from side to side it will probaly be about 6.5"

peteretep
yeah Davies Holden bring them in, thats where I got mine from, the guy had to muck around for agers trying to find something to match though. To get a wof your required to have certain length studs/threads etc, but with so many people putting covered nuts on you cant tell, and wof men never undo the nut and see, I got told by the guy at suspension tech that mine were too short
