jaymz
I'm just cleaning out my engine bay. I don't want any un neccasary things in the engine bay. ie. battery. I have got a spot weld drill bit and have been drilling for quite a while and can't see much progress. Do I just keep percevering or is there some knack to it. I'm fixing the car up to show standard so i dont wanna just hack it off with a grinder.

Guest 2ltescort
i got a spot weld drill and it works real well it has a little bit in the middle so you can addjust deapth and a small cutter head that change cost about 60 bucks but worth every bit when you use it
Bullitt
Bah just use a regular drill bit and weld the resulting hole up. Always worked fine for me

Seedy Al
I've never had problem with a spot weld drill, unstiched a hole drip rail off a ke70 sedan once with one and pick a part, so its not to hard. But you probably need a chisel aswell to break off the little remaining bits of weld around the hole Nice Allan
Guest 2ltescort
the spot weld drill i have doesnt drill the weld it drills around the spot then you remove the panel and grind what is left off works very well the panel are undamaged like you get with a chisel and hammer or like a whole that you get when you drill the center this thing works real good
