mk2 gt
no i pick it up on friday i hope!! it needs some surface rust fixed on it, i have a mate who owns a panel beating shop so ill take it to him, i am going to take it to peter vanbrougle's to get the fuel pump/fuel pick up sorted out. and i am going to carpet the boot to make it look nicer. it may need a new front bearing but thats no biggie, windscreen has a crack in it but he said it seemed to stop craking so ill leave it for now and maybe sort something out when i get back to auckland in jan next year(unless i can find one before i go away) Draizuh - found out its the high compression motor so i wont be super charging it BUT! i found a guy who is pulling one out of a ae86 and is willing to sell it to me, so i will tinkle with that motor and see what i can do with it waiting to hear on a price. he said he also has a exedy clutch kit but i dont think i cann afford that right now

mikuni
haha seriously, is it just me or does this engine not look straight to you guys?
peteretep
looks slightly slanted to the right, is that normal?
spacie
ah yep Chris is a mate of my Dads, i was gonna buy this if i hadnt run into some unexpected debts... definite slant on that engine
mk2 gt
it slants to the fire wall also, he was going to run it in targa so i guess its all good
Draizuh
it probably slants to clear something.. i doubt it effects it. Chris used to have a car yard too, he sold my mum her car. i think he knows his wife or some shit. anyway. your car is still mean. and at that price you paid i would have had no doubts snapping it up. im assumming its all certed and legal? mk2 gt
yep all certd and legal, its on a slant to clear the drive shaft
Gaz
To clear the driveshaft? It should clear. I had a 4age in mk2 and it didnt need to be slanted.
mk2 gt
oh well i not sure then there will be some reason for it
peteretep
I've seen 4age's mounted so many ways in escorts, more than one way to skin a cat
Seedy Al
slanting a 4age makes no diffrence anyway, they could probably run upside. Best motor in the world. Allan
Gaz
Yerah could be any reason. 4ages are average. Not the strongest engine in the world.. but a good engine for an escort.
