RT
theres another option Josh, buy this escort, swap the running gear over between the two, and then sell the escort again. you would probably still get a bloody good price for the escort and bang, cheap turbo conversion for your capri.http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing ... d=53942258 its probably some real maori blow-through carb job... you can turbo a pinto for like $500-600 if u do a super nasty job
Defective
yeah, considering how little info there is on the auction your probably right...
davidian
got the carb for you aaanyways.. anyone know much about throttle bodies? i wanna use one on my turbo pinto but im not shure what size to use?!?! also the plenum needs to have a bracket/flange on the end for the throttle body to bolt onto (afaik) so i need to find the right t/body for the hole pattern. RT
mine is 58mm.. probably on the small side really... although some people argue that in turbo cars you get better response using something a little smaller as the boost pressure is banked up against it. However I would go for a 65mm or 70mm TB.. Falcon ones are what most people use. I have an Evo one here which is 70mm and I was gonna put that on thinking that mine was waaay to small. But then this engineer from Oz told me he runs the same size on his Sierra Cosworth which is making 400bhp.. so ?
davidian
hmm i see well a falcon would be a piece of piss to sort... you reckon a straight6 one? i think my mate's still got a EB for parts

Burntrubber
I got a 68mm EB Falcon one for the injection setup I'm building for my Gemini. They seem to be a popular upgrade or starting point for a custom setup.
