atropine
Ok.. Bottom line is the escort needs better tires. Much better tires. So looking for advice.. on some good tire options. Obviously a 13" diam, probaly looking at around 205-215, for the rear atleast.. may go smaller on front as ive always had rubbing issues with this bitch. Or possibly say, 235 on rear.. just because. Profile doesnt really bother me.. dont care about the look of lowpro so it doesnt bother me if it is or isnt.. Im quite a fan of a decent sidewall but im guessing a lot of better tires will be smaller so im up for any profile options.. So... Any advice folks? I believe cams advice was direzzas or something? mk2_escort
i had toyo proxes on mine b4 it got stolen. they were 205's and they griped awsomely.
Sparkle
From what ive seen, hankook, nanking and falken are not too bad, but theyre a entry level performance tyre. Nothing special. I run toyo proxy4, too soft for a big car like mine, but they grip well. Ive heard awesome things bout dunlop direzza 101 from plenty of people, for a road tyre, Id go straight for them. Other good ones Ive heard about are bridgestone grid 3, and the top yoko advans. Since you're not drivin it a hell of a lot, you could probably get away with a road legal race tyre. If you can, go for dunlop formula r's or yoko 3559? So, for a road tyre for your car, I reckon, either toyo T1R, or Direzza 101, up to you if you want to go road legal race. atropine
i dont think the 13s will be leaving anytime soon.. if i had the spare cash to pick up some 15x7 minis then i may.. but i dont. thank ye sparkle, knew youd have some business. and everyone else. will have to look into it.. kinda wanna roadtrip to auckland in about 2 weeks but im not fucken doing it with the tires its got. if it rains ill be crawling the whole way haha
Gaz
What tyres ya have now man? How shit are we talking? Ive had a set of toyo T1R's before. They are really really nice tyre. Awsome handeling and not a bad ride or noise. I had 40 profile also and wasnt bouncy which I was told would happen with a 40. If ya want all the options just email Tonys (email addy on site) and they will send back all the tyre choices ya have and prices. Then ya can choose and get ya bro to hook you up. lowlancer
I had Toyos on my old wheels, though in 14s, and they were awesome First thing Caboon texted me when he got them was "Fuck these tyres rule" I paid 100 a corner, so cheap, though those were 195 and 14s
Draizuh
I need some advice on tires for me too. 14". Need to be farely wide... ive currently got 185/65/14's. Wanting something in a lower profile as they are fucking huge, and they rub aswell.
atropine
and when did baloons ever come into this convo? either way, id prefer baloons over stretch. but if you hadnt realised im not trying to follow a trend here folks. i dont care about profile look. dont care about white writing. just want a good fucken tire. if it ends up with white writing, whatever. i think it can look good on the right car. id probaly prefer not to have it though. if its lowpro, whatever. if its got a huge sidewall, whatever. Seriously, price up some dunlops or toyos, see what they can do in your size, but just suit the tyre to the rim, dont go to wide or skinny. If they cant do shit in 13s then price up some good bridgestones, either way theyll be a fairly good tyre AND ITS NOT TIRE YOU YANK LOVA

Sparkle
na ur gay... just coz my tires r beta than urs nah, they arent. Yours are for looks and bogan bumming material. Toyo proxy4, basically, the best toyo under T1R, the semi competition tyre.
