peteretep
im just testing out putting my carb on and some little piping thingy hits the rocker cover, anyone know how i can get it further away or something? can you use double gaskets on the inlet manifold or something? its a 32/36 weber onto 1600 sport manifold onto a 1600 xflow
zep
Which pipe is it? If it's the fuel return you can probably just take it to a carb shop and get them to take it out and block it up, should be cheap as chips.
Burntrubber
I'd say you got the carb around the wrong way the VAC port is on the base of the carb it would hit on the rocker cover if you had it backwards.

peteretep
the thing hitting the burton cover is that what you call a large image?
Burntrubber
That the anti stall. Can't move it either has fuel running through it. Best find a carb without it.
esky boi
Hmm, could probably space the carb up abit (use the plastic spacer things that go between the carb and manifold on the Cortinas) Not sure how many youd need, or how many youd be able to use without it affecting the carb tho... peteretep
hmm i'll have a look at other 32/36's but i got it off a 1600 sport but maybe it was changed at some point
Burntrubber
Cortinas had that anti stall thing my carb has it its off a MK3. You could blank it off with a plate I don't have mine hooked up and it runs fine all it does is squirt extra gas in if the revs get to low to stop stalling. Guest evotoy
Hey that looks like a rocker cover I once owned... Could that also be the engine I sold as well? Get a 36/36 carb or some 40's.... I can see if I can source some 40's for you if you want?
Pushrod
Yep just go buy some 40's that solves that problem Then you just have to worry about them hitting the booster
peteretep
yeah it is your engine taken a little while for me to get off my bum and get it ready to go into the car, if you could find a pair of sidedrafts and a manifold for under a grand i could be keen. Im going to paint my engine bay before i put in the engine so it will be a while until its ready to go in.
