DatzLO Posted October 26, 2005 Share Posted October 26, 2005 ok im about to get some spring compressd cos the standerd springs are just to high 4 my liking and i dont really want another pink sticker but i also want it as low as i can go *on the gaurds front under gaurds at the back* how many inchs have u guys lowerd ur standerd springs? and does it make it really low? rxtoy Posted October 26, 2005 Share Posted October 26, 2005 won't be under 100mm for that low, EX chassis sits pretty high, even when sacked out. might be something to do with rally heritage. i'll measure mine when the new shocks go in to confirm this, should be early next week. my springs are compressed 3" (76ish mm) and tyres are about the level you said. they won't be trapped with standard shocks at that level though so its not really the cheapest option. it rubs on the guard at the front under hard turns so you'll need to roll your guards and it handles pretty average too so unless you've got skills to make up some RCA's (Roll Centre Adjusters) or are happy to live with bump steer then it might be better to save your coin for a decent set of kings. a pic anyway (there's more in the project's section): and this ones floating around Auckland too with pretty much the same suspension mods as mine: cheers Matt Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

DatzLO Posted October 26, 2005 Author Share Posted October 26, 2005 yeh im willing to get some custom shocks made, i wanna go compressed cos ive seen ones with king springs ect and there just not low enouf. like rxtoy said there chassis is really high so u can dump them out and still b 100mm off the ground and ive got 17s on myne so it sits quite high. heres a pic of mine with cut springs i wouldnt mind it sitting that low on compressd ones. is this simalar to the hight u have on urs rxtoy? Ogre Posted November 1, 2005 Share Posted November 1, 2005 dont compress standard springs.They are so shit.Throw some sigma shocks in the front and compress them at least!!. i say go wit some super low kings, and mirage shocks in the rear if ya cant get anything captive.Will be much better in the long run.If you get a half desent spring/shock set up these lil things handle mean as. Im gonna compress my springs alittle coz i dont have enough travel and when cornering hard the inside wheels come off the ground.hehe. Looks kool and is good for getting her sidways but cant take corners as hard as i would like.Is fine if i have 4 ppl in the car tho... drftnmaz Posted November 3, 2005 Share Posted November 3, 2005 ok i got the kings catolog infront of me now. front are KDRL-83 (for 77-81 lancer) the rears they do not list. these are just lows not superlows. mr lancer is rite the 240k front springs list the same number... not that u wanted kings but meh useless info for the day...
