esky boi
ahh that would be why haha, yea nah only the auto shaft fits aye. dont you have to use a sierra clutch and get the escort flywheel machined to fit it? Yea thats one way, or just use the sierra flywheel, and clutch..
Guest escort_boy
so if for the mean time i took the flywheel and clutch off and put it on to the 1600 the gear box would bolt straight up???
two_days_late
oh real, thats good as. does the auto shaft need to be shortened or anything? or just completely bolt straight in? cheers Matt
Guest escort_boy
straight bolt in... coz the auto box is longer than a 4spd the shaft is the right lenght for a sierra box

davidian
does the sierra fly hook up sweet for shure? i had to re-drizzle the 1600 one
two_days_late
i thought you had to re-drill the 1600 one? they flywheels are differnt sizes. also for some reason i think the auto engines have bigger flywheels? i could be dreaming tho. cheers Matt
davidian
i think youre dreaming autos dont have flywheels
esky boi
Nah the bolt pattern to the crank is the same, but the actual flywheel from a Pinto is a bigger diameter, so the esky clutch cant be used, you have to keep the sierra/cortina one with the flywheel...
