Guest Demonmk2 Posted July 19, 2005 Share Posted July 19, 2005 hey i was wondering how would i make twin pipes on a 2l sierra engine for my mk2 escort as i want two "fartcannon's" out back on the sides (of the rear) but not togetha (not in the middle but on the left and right side) will i have to split the pipe just b4 the diff as it appears the driveshaft may cause a problem if it rubs on the pipe i see there is room to split the pipes up near the transmission but i fear it will lose to much pressure splitting the pipes so close to the extractors? and if i go with that idea ill praobly have to have twin 1" 1/2's and im sure that will sound gay rather than been split up near the diff from a 2 " 1/4 or such? anyway thanks might go back to pit stop as well and ask them again Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Sparkle Posted July 19, 2005 Share Posted July 19, 2005 dnt knw wats the best for a pinto but i presume a 2 1/4 straight thru one pipe would be your best bet, couple of cobys or summit. talk to a exhaust shop that knows about proper performance and hav been doin it for a while i.e not chains like pitstop, more like ur small stingy exhaust shop, where the guy is covered in grease, even tho u dont get covered in grease from exhaust work, but he sometimes finds time to, and hasnt washed in at least a month.
