Bumpstops

Seeing as the celeste has such huge bumpstops, and afterlowering it so far that it's sitting on them, I thought I'd whip em out and cut em down.

MISTAKE

Cut them too rugged and don't wanna cut em any further to smooth them.

What I wanna know is whether I can buy pre-made bumpstops that are already shortened?

Try heating them up to smooth them. A lighter might just do the trick?

Or, alternatively, go to a wreckers and steal some shorter ones from another car.

jst goto pick a part and buy some like $2 each i usally get van ones but depends on what sort u need

why do they have to be smooth just cut them as low as you can

make sure you check tha you're driveshaft isnt bottoming in the gearbox housing at full compression of the suspension onto the new length bumpstops = bad

I thought that you'd already cut the bumpstops? have you lowered it more or sumthin?

Just remember -

Mod bumpstop = cert required

and remember

replace bumpstop = no-one can tell the difference

I have to cert anyway

And yeah cut em more, as I lowered it more, but still way too high.

Might just get some shorter ones and cut them

cut them to just bigger than you want them, then use a angle grinder with a grinding disk and round/smooth them, or if you have a wood working sanding disk available use that its better, i just tacked them to my work bench (to hold them in place) then ground/rounded them to the height i wanted and made them look nice and smooth, not all half ar5ed.
