4AG_Addict
I think you'll find that the stud pattern on those is correct, but the offset will be wrong, as far as i know that style only comes in 35-45p offset, & is not available as a blank. So you will still need to run hub adaptors to use them
Guest emerson
I dont quite understand the whole offset crap but here goes, can i still run the wheel even tho 4AG_Addict said the offset was wrong? If so, What effects will it have on driving condition? Tire wear? and anything else? Are hub adapters a big mod, eg like need a cert for? how much for a set of them? (guesstimate) and away from the hub shit? are there any tricks that ppl know about to do to the std 1500 that are cheap or even free Ive got a gsr motor being built up for it and just want a bit more power from the engine (anchor) in the meanwhile
kyteler
Your offset is the distance between the physical centre of the rim and the mounting face. So say you had a set of 14x7's. If you have 0 offset, you sould have 3.5" of rim on either side of the mounting face, so you would have a nice dish (which faces out away from the car) as well as it sticking in (towards the car) a good amount. With an offset as positive as 45, you would have probably close to 1" of dish, (which is essentially nothing) and 6" going in towards the car. Chances are, the 6" of dish will rub against the struts on the front and depending on your rear end setup, against something on the rear, which is not good. The only way to remedy positive offset is with a hub adapter, which I believe are illegal in that I'm not even sure you can get them cert'd anymore. If however, you got some wheels that were only 5" wide, then it would probably be OK if the had an offset of 35. But, who the fuck buys 5" rims? kyteler
Also, something to note , rim width is NOT measured from it's most extreme edges, it's measured from the internal edge of the lip (where the tyre mounts onto) so.. a 7" rim is actually closer to being 7.5-8" wide in total. Guest emerson
mint i get ya. so basicly i have to rip the middle finger up to ltsa and get sum hub adaptors to run those orphiks
kyteler
I personally wouldn't run adaptors for safety reasons with stress on the hub and nuts etc. However, if you're going to... Try and get some with as close an offset to 0 as possible, obviously you wont be able to get 0 but if the options are between 30 & 45, get the 30 (or obviously below that if possible) even if it might mean having to wait for them to get shipped. Best of luck.
