Burntrubber
Put a 32/36 dgv weber on it and blowtru turbo setup. Run low boost (5-8psi)That will make it spin wheel. Boost is great
Guest FUKD50
boost is goooood
lowlancer
So is insurance. I don't wanna spend thousands on a car that's only worth 1000 bucks, if that. Just basic mods to the engine that'll get her sprucing along
kyteler
SHE SHALL BE CALLED SPRUCE GOOSE! AND SHE SHALL FLY! WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Burntrubber
Ok just the carbi they are common and cheap and easy to adapt good trottle responce bad fuel economy if you have a heavy foot though
lowlancer
Anyone got one for sale? Can the 4G52's carb be bolted straight onto the 4g32s manifold? Cos I need a new carb, and 4G52s are common as....
kyteler
Although this has nothing to do with carbs. Did I tell you lowlancer that there's 2 EX Lancers down here with GSR motors in them, one has a turb'd one of unknown origin and the other has an GSR EvoIII motor in it... fairly rat looking, with small central bonnet vent (similar to wrx but smaller) and some aftermarket mags other than that, it's typical EX brown colour but it goes pretty fucken quick. TO be expected though.
lowlancer
Nah ya didn't, I'm not a big fan of EXs, turbo or otherwise, bit of an embarrassment aesthetically, I reckon (No offence anyone). Just toooooo 80s, and all that brown...
kyteler
Yeah, the EX's are really bland featureless boxes. If only he'd put the Evo motor into something with a bit more style, like ... an oldschool FTO or something.
Guest FUKD50
hey hey now lowlancer. Dont diss the ex's. at least they are mitsi's. Too much brown?? what about the green interior?? yuck.
lowlancer
Sorry man, just not my cuppa tea aye. Oldschool FTOs you say, reminds me, I know a guy selling the only 2 in the north island...

kyteler
To anyone who can get an Oldschool FTO and would look after it.
coltspeed
If you end up getting a 4g52 have a look and see whether the dizzy comes out of the head or timing chain cover. The one with the dizzy out of the timing chain cover is an old GTO engine(making 125hp), the other is a later engine(making 100hp). Also the alternator is on different sides of the block sooo it would make a difference in the length of the wiring loom.
