zep
What are cobra springs like? I have some but haven't put them in yet. Do they lower the car well, how's the ride?
Toucan
What are cobra springs like? Yea ditto what are they like? And where do you get them from and for how much?, I have blocks for the rear but dont want to put them in untill I can lower the front aswel. Would look a little bit weird with just the rear lowered I would think
Mr.Mk1
Well my old man got them from BNT and haggled heaps, got them 4 $151.90!! Ive no idea how much they have lowered it as ive dun 1 side only. And ride? the cars half stripped and half sanded already, so probably no trips 2 c for a wee while. He got the lowest springs for capris b4 u have 2 change the suspension, so they r not quite superlows.
zep
Escorta, you can get them from Repco, that's where I got mine. They also have Kings and some other brand. Although I hear that pedders 'low' will lower your car further than king's 'low'. It's all a mystery.
Toucan
"pedders".... you lost me, is that another brand of springs? I dont want it too too low, just an inch lower than it sits at the moment would be nice.
zep
You know the shop, Pedders Suspension, got places everywhere. They sell there own brand springs. Aussie made I'm guessing. Eitherway, Pedders, King and Cobra will all have 1" lowering springs. You could try whiteline too..
BigDave
As Leon sugests yiu should know up front how much your springs are going to lower your car. Otherwise how do you know if you got the right ones? You should tell them what you want and they can order to suit. Just remember that spings are there for a reason and not for looks! Toucan
I got my lowering blocks off the dude who sold me my 1600. $40 but the U bolts were stripped to f*ck and I didnt realise till I got home, bit of a bummer. $55 for a new set of U bolts. I havent put them in yet though. Blocks are about $45 I think so $100 to lower the rear end...
