  1. My little brother's wagon was parked in the same spot presumably only a few minutes earlier... (Not from the hard park, but a photo so you can get an idea of how much you improved the spot!)
  2. I went to the Nelson event, pretty impressive turn out considering the Nelson car show had less cars just last weekend. Highlights for me were a stock looking Ford RS Cosworth and a Campagna Trex...
  3. What paint did you use on the engine? Looks choice!
  4. PM your address and I'll get it sent away this weekend. I'm sure you've seen this page complete with homebrew CDI? http://www.oldjapanesebikes.com/mraxl_GT_Resource/External_T500_Links.html
  5. PART NO-33410-15321 Bugger, a bit different, if you want to make it fit it's yours! Technically this is for a 76/77 GT500
  6. New paint on tank, cdi fails at giving me factory specs so I'm going to buy a new one...yes this time I have read the multimeter correctly!
  7. Chuck up a photo of your coil, I've got a genuine NOS one that should be perfect, yours if it fits.
  8. My RMX 50 (all 49 cc of it) used more gas than my Mazda Demio at around 6L/100km, pretty special!
  9. Coil turned up, unfortunately didn't fit, it did however make me reread the specs for coil...actually 20-30K Ohms across secondary windings not 20-30...so mine is fine. Supposed to fit the T500, maybe cubastreet needs a genuine NOS one?! I'm doing more cosmetic mods at the moment, back to bare metal on tank, popped some steel Knead-it to mend a weeping leak in the tank will probably make the economy better than the current 10km/L. Suzuki decals are to be replaced with metal badges, hope it looks as good as it does in my imagination!
  10. My clip ons are ebay specials and actually seem pretty ok quality wise cost <$50... http://www.ebay.com/itm/251163242869?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
  11. The R100 was my pick of the show, very cool indeed. Do you have any photos of your 280z?
  12. You're a talented chap Alex, if you need an extra pair of hands at any stage just give me a bell as I want to have a closer look at some of the prettiness you're creating!
  13. Wife wasn't super keen on me whacking them on the bbq so after spending half the day running meths (and then petrol when I ran out!) through them. I went over to work and jumped on the LPG torch, very very good fun, especially in combination with the compressor (foot long blue flames out the opposite end!). I've now got a clear 20 mm hole straight through the middle. Certainly can't hurt performance!
  14. 60hp, That would be terrifying...the X7s are supposed to go very well. I can't imagine what the T500 must be like! I've been reading up on how to burn out the deposits, the mufflers weigh ~ 6 kg each at the moment so there must be a huge amount of shite up there. Is there any definitive sites with advice on how's best to do it?
  15. Not as well as I think it ought to, it's all done at 112km/h (by GPS), considering the 250 was supposed to be good for 99.8 mph I think some ponies have escaped. With the new coil I'm hoping that a few may return home!
  16. They're plastic unfortunately, if you wanted aluminium in a very similar style the original Honda GB400 ones are perfect
  17. http://www.ebay.com/itm/181004140324 US$9.99 for 4, shipped! The only issue was that they aren't actually 23 Watt (They're 10 and there's no such thing as a 23 watt bulb that will fit inside them, electronic flasher sorted it) Lenses are around 30 mm diameter. Cheers
  18. Pictureless update. As I pulled into my driveway last week the bike died and since then no amount of coaxing/ether have elicited a cough of life. Delved into workshop manual (because I can!) and ignition coil is shot, new one on the way. Currently painted satin black which revealed a fuel leak in the tank...guessing there's a knead-it type product I can use for a weeping leak? Any suggestions?
  19. I'm not sure if this photo is clear bu instruments/ light have been lowered 50 mm or so. Will request opinions once reassembled! Not quite enough meat to skim the entire top to the same level unfortunately, see what you lot think of this, probably a 5 mm step in the middle would be doable...
  20. Heh, I am the metalwork teacher...I haven't had an excuse to mill anything in a while, done!
  21. Mirrors are an interim fix until Bar end units arrive Still not sure about bar mounts, but it'll do for the moment I need to paint and figure out whether rear set pegs are worthwhile
  22. Would you be able to take some more photos of your rearsets, both sides as my bike needs them!
  23. Clip ons fitted - clever ideas for what I should do with the original bar mounts? Cut down rear guard Bike as it currently sits. I was originally going to make up a new seat but the 80s squareness has grown on me. I may shorten the seat and keep the rear cowling in the future, but at the moment I just want to ride it! I still need to sort a new flasher unit as the indicators came with 10 Watt bulbs, not the 23 Watt ones ebay promised. I also need to; Trim the front guard Remove the chain guard Sort mirrors (shorten existing ones or buy bar end mirrors) Paint?
  24. If you've got the factory front indicators my father in law would be stoked to buy them, his have been cut and welded on both sides!
  25. Oh so it's a competition for Sam's affections...I've never crashed a 2500...
