owned it a week and a half,so far we have had to fit 5 speed as 4 speed thrust bearing collapsed,and a whole new exhaust system as old one ripped apart.still owes us less than 2k though so cant complain too much ae new exhaust from Mark@Pitstop Hornby tis a 2" system,single muffler with 2.5" tailpipe and 5 speed.yes the exhaust hangs low under gearbox,am going to fit a bash plate before i lower it the broken bits

im with k-trips on the half inch band widening,but i reckon blue could be a go,has to be the right shade though otherwise it may as well be cat shit brown wheels,lmao

i know Rick thats organising it with Alan,depending what state my cortina is in i should be able to race for OS(should be 80% complete by then with tech inspection 4 drag racing ).wont be the fastest car but dont think itll be the slowest either. i can also get us a 9 second s1 rx7 if we need it

you sure Karl??it used to be light blue,guy we bought it off primered it.and ive already got the ghia door cards out of mine in it rego number LB1686? I think about 3 owners ago a mate in ashburton had it. he sold it to someone in chch who then sold it to the guy you got it off. when my mate had it it was light blue with the S decals etc, it looks pretty swish, i will see if he has any pics of it. if you do want a proper set of the blue S doorcards i have some here good guess,it is indeed the same car .from memory the S decals were gone when my mate(who we bought it off) got it,but otherwise it was all there.my mate wasnt the kindest to it though so i will be doing a major tidy up on it .and i may grab the blue door cards at some point,for now though Liv and i want the ghia interior in it.although i am missing one thing for the ghia stuff,the proper centre console.you dont have one do you?? PS:spotlights are now gone,one didnt work anyway and ive never liked spotlights on mk5s unless theyre the factory ones inset into the grill

it already sits like that,lmao.we paid 5/8ths of fuck all for it so cant complain too much.and at this stage it will either end up black or purple(Livs favourite colour).i would like to find a set of sport decals for it but finding them in silver could be tricky.oh,and the hotwires have been moved to my escort van as ive always wanted hotwires for it.this is going to be running boat trailer rims aka modgies for a bit until i can find another pair of 13x6 spitfires then itll will have those on all round,hopefully with BF goodrich T/As as thats what my current pair of spitties are running

Glenn its not running at the moment,Bekas partner Kris(that Matt said about) and I tried to get it running saturday night but theres less spark in it than a 1.5 volt battery.however,what they have planned for it is pretty cool,and will surprise a few people. PS:i have no excuse for not attending OS meets now,im picking up a mk5 cortina sport tonight,lmao

was good to meet you to mate .did you go any quicker than 15.1??my 2 mates both had issues,Nathan in 1EVIL7 ran a 9.40,9.30 and a 9.35 before his 6 year old clutch gave up.Kris running his black s5 RX7 only managed 2 runs,i only got his first run which was 11.75 with wheelspin the whole quarter.all in all it was a decent day,if a little low on numbers.what did you think overall EFI_LC??
