8 bolt heads are all the same, axles wont fit due to bearings are different.

long time since an update, now has a lock diff for that sweet two wheel action, also the exhaust snapped off on the motorway last weekend from too much hammering from speedbumps, so now has 2.5" all the way through to a dumpy muffler, sounds alrite but still a couple of leaks i need to attend to. the motor is using alot of oil atm so since kaikohe burnouts is this weekend ill give it a run in there and try finish it off once and for all! then ill have a good excuse for another engine swap...

so i have bought yet another lancer suprise suprise haha now i own a 80,81 and 82 lancer basically my 82 gsl lancer is in need of some loving and to give it a good treatment i wanna take it off the road so reason why i bought this 81 gsl lancer to daily in the mean time. got it for reasonable price considering its condition. its got a 4g32 1600 5 speed manual. needs a good tune. cut springs all round factory interior is quite ruff inside had to supply my own wheels upon purchase plans are fairly basic as i can afford... army green paint, 13x7 hotwires with 215/50s, tints, dumpy exhaust, slammed, wof rego, and daily it like a boss, will get pics another time, its just filthy primer grey atm

cheers zac yeah balance shafts getting removed. my cousin has wired a gsr motor to an ex before so he can surely do this one but as to the ecu standard evo 5/6 will probly do for now but my cousin is saying I should get link but itll be a while before I worry about looms/ecus as this will probly take me most of the year if not longer to build. shit sticks! anyone got a 4g63 sohc cluch? or will vr4 work? does that mean that g32b gearbox are different too?

cheers man, yeah I will have to get new sleeves now due to them being different size. but if coilovers are gunna be to hassle ill just rock shortened as fuck struts. cause once its bumped I wont be making it high again.

yeah I measured them just after I posted that and realised haha ex was about 51mm od and starion 54mm od. would anyone happen to know if the cluch off a g32b will be the same as 4g63 sohc? need to fix cluch in my green lancer and im on a budget till pay day haha

thought that stand looked familiar

so the g32b motor has been removed. it took me a while to notice but the engine block, gearbox, d shaft and diff are all painted blue which I thought was rather funny. old crossmember, lower arms and struts are removed. and have now put in starion 2litre crossmember, starion lower arms and starion struts. also have been picking away at the cancer, might try doing some rust repairs myself but more the ones that aren't visable haha someones previous repair on the chassis rail.. also got a racepro bucket seat still in the process of making it fit rails. stripped pretty much all the interior apart from dash, removed steering lock etc. next to do is chip off all the sound deadening. these are the old struts the car came on. I will be using the sleeve and springs and putting then onto my starion struts, the starion struts are getting ae92 inserts and the housing shortened as much as possible to lower bumpstop height.

took this up to cape reinga and back over new years and run mint used oil as allways but that's just what mitsis do, deon gave it a minta wheels alignment and took the play outta my steering box. also ordered new bushes to put my starion sway bar in finally. and then the cluch blew as I was turning around in my driveway......... was bound to happen though it does get hammered so now I have two ex lancer sitting in my drive that wont go anywere haha
